2. Issues
The given Video Business Case has been presented by Sara Salomone who is the director of
Finesse Consulting. The speaker of the video talks about the several issues that rose during a
particular Business capstone Project. Some of the issues for the concerned Business Capstone
Project has been depicted in the video. As described by the speaker of the candidate, the situation
was such that the business organisation was dealing with a candidate and the organisation also had
exclusivity over the concerned candidate. However, the situation was so much coincidental that the
client that the business organisation was dealing with was the same candidate who was familiar to
the business of the candidate from beforehand. The business organisation of the speaker in the video
had organised an interview for the candidate in the city of Perth. The specifications of the business
was that the candidate was to be selected as project director level contact with an offered salary
around half a million dollars. The interview was arranged in such a manner that thee candidate had
to go through a four stage process along with a Hogan’s assessment.
The references of the candidate were effectively collected by the business organisation to
facilitate the process. In the process of the interview, the business organisation came to know about
the fact that the candidate was much familiar to the client’s business and had previous connections
with that of the client. This is the major issue that the speaker’s business organisation. As the offered

The organisation eagerly wanted to formulate the deals with the Brisbane client and that
would be easier if someone from the business side had prior relationships with the concerned client.
According to the directions by the business organisation, the candidate was expected to make
successful deals with that of the Brisbane based executive director’s business. As a fact of formality,
the candidate had to approach the director level contact as an agent of business. The business process
was successfully facilitated by the candidate and the business deal was established. After the
business process was successfully facilitated by the candidate, a situation came up where the
executive level of directors were not satisfied since there was not the full payment from the client’s
end regarding the deal. As the speaker’s business organisation desperately wanted to formulate the
deal with that of the client, the business wanted to engage themselves in the process of reverse
marketing. In a typical reverse marketing process between a pair of businesses, an outline of the
candidate is presented to the executive director of the client business and the deal takes place
accordingly. In this case, the candidate’s reference to the client facilitated the process. The process
required the prior agreement of the terms of business.
It so occurred that the Perth based contract was signed beforehand while the Brisbane based
contract was not signed for the process to facilitate. Due to this reason, the problem was further
aggravated and the situation attracted several new forms of controversies.
3. Causes
There were several causes of the defined issues according to the speaker of the Video
Business Case. The speaker outlines the potential causes for which the issues in the successful

per the speaker of the business that have been mentioned in the above section of this assignment are
stated as follows. The first cause for the mentioned issue is that the concerned pair of business pair
of organisations did not have official business communications between them. Due to this fact, there
was direct approach from the executives of the server business end with that of the executives of the
client’s business end on the eastern seaboard. Another major cause as described the speaker of the
video in the Video Business Case for which the situation was escalated and the server business
organisation did not have enough grounds to stand on, was the fact that the agreement was not
signed by the candidate prior to the initiation of the business process.
The speaker additionally states that in her twelve years of experience in the business
organisation, she did not face a case where this type of situation had crept in the process and the
business organisation had to go through a series of several controversies. The speaker of the business
regrets the fact that she had not taken the signature of the candidate in the previous opportunities but
she should have taken an approach to make the candidate sign the terms of business before initiating
with the business process. Further, the speaker of the business says that the terms of the business
must have outlined the process of the business opportunity. In the terms it should have been clearly
stated that the candidate is completely entrusting the server business organisation that he as a person
is representing for the business opportunity that would be best for him in the commercial market.
In addition, the speaker states that she should have been more deliberate to look for the fact
that the process is properly taking place and the signature form the candidate is achieved. She could

Finesse Consulting has got nothing signed from the candidate in their twelve years of
experience. This to think back the way in which the situation has played out. The organisation might
have been at a better position as those signatures are retrieved from the candidate. This could have
essentially outlined the fact that the candidates could have mainly described the mandatory
situation1. This should indicate that they have been represented exclusively by “Finesse Consulting”.
Besides, the candidate would entrust the company to secure the most effective opportunity for him,
