1BUSINESSIntroduction Business in itself is a vast concept. It includes a strategic vision for the achievement ofpositive outcomes. Evaluation of the strategies, help the personnel to assess their effectivenessand appropriateness, in terms of the identified and the specified goals and objectives. Counteringthis, there is an approach of conducting business for the achievement of large-scale customersatisfaction (Sekaran and Bougie 2016). This assignment caters to the business activities of ServeServcorp through the assessment of the relevance of Trade Union, the applicability of thepluralist or unitarist approach and the forms of industrial actions open before the employees forexecution of the business activities. Company profileServcorp has achieved accolades and glory by serving quality hardware to the softwarecompanies. The company has a widespread presence across the globe. The branch at Slough,London maintains stable relationship with their stakeholders, the members of the trade union.However, the process of establishing this relation was a prolonged one (Servcorp.com 2017).This was due to the patience of the employees towards attaining the identified and the specifiedgoals. The company hires 45% of the 1500 employees from the trade union. These members areprovided with the offer to subscribe for 10 pounds a month. This is calculated based on the salaryof the employees. Section 1- Relevance of Trade UnionTrade union members play a major role in assisting the companies, firms andorganization to achieve financial flexibility. As a matter of specification, the trade unionmembers indulge in meeting with the personnel for entering into contracts and agreements forthe expansion in the scope and arena of the business (Bryman and Bell 2015). 2BUSINESSapplicable for the company, Servcorp, where the alliance with the trade union members is taggedas a statutory. This is because the company abides by the terms and conditions of the contracts,deals, trades and transactions. Contracts, deals, trades and transactions regarding the supply ofhardware proved effective in terms of the stabilizing the relationship with the stakeholders. Oneof the striking features is solving the issues of the employees. The members of the trade unionlook into the issues encountered by the employees while executing the allocated duties and theresponsibilities (Carroll and Buchholtz 2014). In the present scenario of Servcorp, when two new managers have been hired, trade unionmembers holds special place in the business activities. This is because the new managers areunfamiliar with the actual scenario of the workplace. Assistance of the trade union members isneeded in terms of assuring the safety and security of the trade. Until the new managers becomefully acquainted with the dynamic functionalities of the workplace, the board panel would needthe assistance of the trade union members for maintaining the efficiency in the business activities(Zikmund et al. 2013). Apart from this, Amir and Patricia have just joined the company as managers. Theywould not be able to handle the issues, which the employees are encountering. Here, if the tradeunion members are consulted, they would organize strikes and protests for preserving the basicrights of the employees. This would act as a mass appeal towards the public in terms of joiningthe company in their struggle towards providing quality workplace to the employees, so thatquality production can be extracted from them. However, the trade union members need to bearin mind that the individual sentiments of the employees are protected in the strikes and the massappeals (Blumberg, Cooper and Schindler 2014).

3BUSINESSLack of unity between Amir and Patricia aggravates the complexities of the personnel interms of maintaining a stable relationship between the company personnel and the trade unionmembers. From this perspective, the aspects of protests and strikes for the safeguarding theemployees from the unwanted instances seems impossible. However, if frequency is maintainedin organizing open forums and discussion, compatibility would be increased between thecompany and the trade union members. Typical evidence of this fact lies in the fact that the newmanagers have indulged in conflicts with each other (Drucker 2017). One of the striking facts in this context is negligence of TU assistance by Amir. Thisnegligence is negation of the existence of trade union members in terms of completion of thebusiness activities. This type of mentality is a deviation from the usual conventions of the roles,which the managers are entrusted in the workplace. Viewing it from the other perspective, theimplementation of new policies for making the shift of the employees is a realistic one. As amatter of specification, policies regarding the maternity leaves for women reflect the consciousattitude of the trade union members towards the comfort level of the women employees (Craneand Matten 2016). Along with this, the sickness policies for the employees is an attempt from thetrade union members regarding the assuring the convenience of the employees. Organizing meetings with the members to gain their feedback reflects the consciousattitude of the trade union members in terms of taking charge of the company. This proveseffective in the scenario where the managers are new. Stability in the relationship with the tradeunion members acted as a platform for the employees in terms of voicing out their opinionsabout the issues, which they are facing while doing the allocated tasks.
