INTRODUCTION
Business communication is concept of sharing information among individual within and
outside organization aimed to strengthen commercial activity of organization. Mr. Fishy is chips
and fish restaurant located in Borough near London bridge station. The report will include
principles and purpose of several type of organizational communication along with challenges of
effective communication. Further strategies will be developed to overcome those communication
challenges alongside principles of communication enhancing those practices. Also
communication practices will be drawn for employees and effect of cultural practices on their
communication process will be assessed.

Describe and analyse purpose as well as principles of different types of organizational
communication.
Types of organizational communication
Verbal
Verbal communication occurs speaking face to face or telephonically. British and Non
British employees can engage in such a type of communication to eliminate confusion (Bovée,
Thill and Raina, 2016).
Non Verbal
Mr. Fishy employees engaging in this communication style will use facial expression,
postures, eye contact, touch and hand movement to convey eliminating barriers.
Written
Practice of this communication style will include email, memo, etc conveying clear
message with proof will develop effective communication in Mr. Fishy.
Visual
The type of communication practice in Mr. Fishy will involve visual pictures and video
for reference of receiver will develop effective communication in British and non British
employees.

CONCLUSION
The above study concluded that employees of Mr. Fishy have several communication
types namely verbal, non verbal, written and visual to communicate with each other. Also Mr.
Fishy might face challenges of effective communication between British and Non British due to
differences in taboo and emotions, prejudice and expectations, cultural differences, perception
and viewpoint and language and accents. Mr. Fishy to overcome those barriers developed
strategies such as learning cultural differences, develop empathy and follow up. The above

practices are governed by principles such as information flow, co ordination and clarity. Mr.
Fishy to empower communication must develop good senses of humor in employees, help in
adaptation of surroundings and develop good relations. Finally effective communication between
employees of different cultures can be managed by developing communication practice and
negotiating when required.
