INTRODUCTION
Business communication involves the smooth flow of knowledge and information to the
others with the objective of meeting the goals and objective. To communicate in effective
manner required constant kind of feedbacks that carry out transparency in achieving business
objectives (Kim, 2019). Present report is based on UK transport TFL that is transport for London
that is government body and is responsible for having a transportation system in Greater London.
TFL posses responsibility of London’s network of principal road routes and other networking
services .Respective report is based on the significance of business communication by describing
the purpose and principles behind varied kind of organisational communication. Further it
includes the application of principles in effective communication that directly enhance practices.
Finally, it includes the communication practices from themselves and others.

In the organization management getting the work and activities with the help of others,
individuals who are working in organization have to inform the way work assigned to them in
one of best manner (O'Rourke, 2019). here are the main purpose of business communication:

Flow of information: The first and foremost purpose of effective kind of communication
consists of effective flow of information continuously from the top to bottom and vice versa
(Kelly and MacDonald, 2019). As per the case study to solve out the problem of tube in between
the service provider and tourist they need to continuously have to communicate on the
respective problem so that they feel engaged and can give one of their best efforts. The care
should be taken in TFL that no one should be misinformed as it hampers the self interest of an
individual in giving one of their best efforts.
Coordination: with the help of communication organization as well as service provider can be
able t coordinate the organizational works and activities with their staff members within the
organization. The coordination in TFL with the goals and problems that faced by employees in
recent time should be actually concerned in order to accomplish the organizational goals and
objectives in potential manner.
Principles of communication: To attain one of best outcomes it is very much effective for the
service provider to adopt some principles to satisfy the consumers needs and wants in most
potential manner (García-Sánchez and et.al., 2020). Here are the doctrines adopted by respective
service provider to smoothen the communication in effective manner that are as follows:
Clarity: The respective principle of communication used as the language that easy to understand.
In it the message should be understood by the receiver as words should be very much simple and
unambiguous. For achieving the desirable outcomes services provider clears all term and
conditions that helps in amending the communication in effective manner.
Integration: The another effective kind of principle used in the communication is integration that
integrates the efforts of human resource with the organization by integrating the corporate goals
and objectives in effective manner. The main aim of communication is to achieve the set target
by coordinating the activities of the people at TFL for achieving desirable outcomes. in context
of tourism operator by using the effective integration they coordinate the problems and possible
solution of it.
In that regards it is very much potential for an individual as well as organization to collect
the potential knowledge and information about the principles and practices that bring
effectiveness in communication to achieve the desirable goals and objectives (Fauzi, Al-

Khowarizmi and Muhathir, 2020). While communicating practices plays very important role as
in TFL, it shows the clear path by describing the role and responsibility of every individual in
respective process to remain competitive in marketplace.
Apply principles of effective communication to enhance practice.
It is very much potential for the organization to apply the principles and practices in the
organization to achieve the desirable goals and objectives (Darics, 2020). in context of transport
manager to provide one of best experience to the end user required to apply the principles of
communication in effective manner that are as follows:
Principle of clarity: for an organization it is very much effective to apply the principles of
effective communication as it helps in carry out desirable outcomes in the specified time frame.
In TFL, the tourist faces the problem due to tube that helps in summer season not able to serve
the tourist in proper manner. in that regards tourist not showing their interest in availing the
services, to overcome from the respective problem respective service provider need to apply the
principle of clarity in which every individual have the knowledge about goals and objective with
own strength so that they can give one of their best efforts (Sutter and Kieser, 2019). In addition
to in the side of consumers they also have the clarity in regards of consumers demand and way to
achieve the same in order to serve them in one of best manner. To apply the respective principle
organization need to add it in their code of conduct so that each and every can obey it
persistently to achieve the desirable goals and objectives.
Principle of integration: in the organization integration of goals and objectives, self interest of
people and other plays very much important role (Braun and et.al., 2019). by integrating the self
interest organization can be able to align oneself with the organizational goal and contribute one
of their best efforts. To apply the same organization required to build the effective kind of team
in which every individual have the expertise of various fields that bring proficiency in the work
and they can easily solve out any kind of problem or concerns in effective manner.
In that regards it is very much potential for TFL to adopt the principles of communication
that directly contributes in enhancing the viability of the outputs. By using the effective kind of
communication and related principles can be able to give one of their best efforts and achieve the

desirable outcomes. by using the effective communication they never face any kind of problem
as mostly problems arise due to misunderstanding in among the people.
Evaluate the communication practices of themselves and others.
Communication is one of the most important kind of communication tool that required to
succeed at the workplace (Bannier,Pauls and Walter, 2019). If an individual wants to be the
expert communicator need to be effective at the all point in the chain of communication from the
sender through the receiver and must be very comfortable at each and every stage of sharing the
knowledge and information in effective manner. it would be online, face to face and written
communication to procure one of best outcomes to remain competitive in the business activities.
For the effective communication required to understand the others and don’t make any pre
assumptions in the mind as it directly affect on the proper communication of an individual. The
most important kind of practice for effective kind of communication consist of the be relatable,
while share the knowledge and information an individual have to acknowledge about the one
aspect should be relate to another as it assist in building the chain of communication for
achieving the effective kind of outcomes. while communicate with other it is very much potential
to acknowledge about the level of knowledge of other as high and jargon kind of language
hinders the self interest in giving one of their best outcomes.
In TFL, tourist facing the problem of not effectual working of the tube due to the high
sunlight (Sutter and Kieser, 2019). To overcome from the problem required to establish the
smooth flow of knowledge and information in among the people so that they can easily share
their subject of concern and reach at the potential conclusion. To make the effective
communication required to take effective training and proper education as communication is
very important part of the organizational success by effectively align the organizational goals
with the work and activities in effective manner. in that regards for effective communication it is
not necessary to work only on the self performance but also need to work on others
communication as it directly contributes in achieving the desirable goals and objectives in
potential manner.
Barriers to effective communication:

There are sometimes barriers face because of differences in perception and lack of attention by
the receiver. There are also situations of interest and distraction that may be irrelevant to
receiver. There can be further some situations related to uses of jargon that may not be
understandable and speech difficulties that may result into lack of effectiveness of
communication. In TFL there must be a special department like front office department that has
to be created in order to deal with all the issues that are faced by their target segment of
customers. Also, it will help in timely solving of all the issues that are faced by their customers
and timely developing of solutions. This is going to lead to positive impact on the brand image of
TFL.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that communication plays very much
important role in sharing the knowledge and information to the others for achieving the
organisational goals and objectives. For effective communication it is potential to have the
knowledge about the subject about communication as it bring the significant outputs out of them.
To achieve the desirable outcomes it is very important to keep in mind the principles of effective
communication as it helps in saving the time and cost in potential manner. while communicating
with others it is very much important to have the knowledge about the language, tone and other
modes of behaviour that not only bring out effective outcomes but also shares the close
relationship with the people.
