Team meetings are considered as an important aspect that influences the team members to share
their ideas, opinions, and thoughts so that they can take correct decisions and initiate the change
that occurs in the organization. Team meetings are considered as the regular improvement
process that is useful for developing the organization’s success rate. In relation to that, Fernandez
& Rainey (2017) argued that meeting become popular after the movement of the 1960s and that
had evolved the growth rate of the business. From that time, the managers and the employees
were able to understand that meetings from 3 to 4 hours per week can enhance their working
ability, and it increases the success rate of their organization. In other words, it is seen that team
members often faces some complex task, and for this, collaboration as well as communication is
necessary among the team members to complete their task fruitfully. Besides this, Kauffeld &
Lehmann-Willenbrock (2012) argued that meetings are the necessary component of building a
successful team and also to complete the work as per the stipulated timeframe. In a meeting,
several types of communication are followed, such as problem-focused communication,
procedural communication, socio-emotional communication, and action-oriented
communication. All these communication aspects help in developing a strong team by which
they can reach their organizational goals and can enhance their business performance. A coding

their options in the meetings and execute their work as per their comfort. Hence, it sometimes
generates conflict among the team members that provide negative results in the task. Due to this
reason, they often face delay in completing the work, and these features have affected the
success rate of the firm. Several types of communication aspect have been followed in team
meetings, and if the members do not participate properly in this, then it can create adverse impact
of the meetings. Stray, Sjøberg & Dybå, (2016) argued that in a problem-focused
communication, if the members do not properly elaborate on the problems, then no effective
results will be obtained. Besides this, it is seen that ineffective task-contingent structuring can
create a negative impact on the employees and thus it is necessary to make proper planning and
