INTRODUCTION The business communication is defined as the procedures and flow of the information in order to communicate and share of the information from one department to the other. It is very important for the organisations to have an effective communication. It is very important that the communicationistakenplacewithaneffectiveinordertohaveatransparentwayof communication in order to perform the task. An effective business communication will help the business enterprise in building the goodwill of the business enterprise(Bolten, 2020). This is the report which will include theories of business communication, barriers preventing students and at last strategies the University has to implement. MAIN BODY Theories of organisational communication It is identified that the business organisation communication is the wider field which is related to tall the forms of communication which helps in growing and to connect with the stakeholders and society in order to make an effective functioning. It is very important for the organisation to transform and exchange of information between the individuals and the different groups of the business enterprise. There are different forms of communication which can be verbal and non-verbal, formal or informal, oral or written. It is very important to have an effective communication in order to complete the task in the effective way. there are various principles which can be considered by the organisations. The various principles are clarity, correctness, conciseness, courtesy, concreteness, considerations and completeness. There are various theories of the organisational communication which are discussed below: 1.Bureaucracy theory- This is the theory which is introduced by Max Weber where there is formal structure of the communication taken place within the business organisation. This is the theory which adopts hierarchical approach where there is the department and the systematic way in which the each individual has to report to the senior management in order to complete the task in an effective manner. 2.Acceptance theory of Authority-This is the theory which defined that there is the willingness of an individual to communicate in the effective way in order to complete the task and perform better(Naidoo and Dulek,2022). The organisational communication 1
plays a major role communicating effectively. It is very important to have a self confident in order to have an effective communication. 3.Theory X and Theory Y- This is the theory which is developed by McGregor which is dependent upon the direct opposing assumptions of a human nature. This is the theory where the human are considered as great asset for the organisation. This also helps in promoting the creativity and self control over the performance of the employees within the business organisation. It is very important that the managers focus on recognising the efforts of employees in order to motivate them. This is the most effective theory in order to have a transparency within the business communication. Evaluate the barriers preventing students from returning to campus. It was very challenging for the universities to run online courses with the help of various virtual education platform such as Zoom . After the end of unpredictable disease of Covid-19 , the universities were forced to bring back the students for offline campus. But it is quite difficult for the me to bring back to campus. There are so many factors that creates barriers in their arrival at universities campus. These barriers did lot of hindrances in my education physically and emotionally. There are some of the barriers that are mentioned below: Physical Barriers:The most important challenge faced during lockdown mainly was an education system which impose restriction on physical classes of the students.Almost all the universities in the United Kingdom has decided for creation of online platform to impart knowledge to their students. Physical barriers prevents meas I live far away and returning to campus was quite complicated due to distance and lack of accessible places. Financial Barriers:Finance plays greater important in every individual’s life. It is the main barriers that was prevented mefrom returning to campus as monetary fund is required to cover long distance to reach the universities and attended the class (Paudel and Devkota, 2018). Finance is required to meet all the basic requirement to live in the expensive cities like UK . The financial commitment is the main reason behind the barriers in attending the physical classes. The financial need to take care of child is costly in the UK so it is the main barriers faced by many of the students. 2

Emotional Barriers:Another barrier was emotional barriers that stress the students in lockdown. The students were highly depressed and feel lonely to leave their parents for attending the classes at universities. Mental illness had affected the students badly due to emotional attachment of their parents to go abroad or in UK for studying in universities. Most of the students preferred to do online learning as it involves less pressure on online platform. Listening Barriers:It is the barrier that prohibited the students to take actively participate in classroom learningas it involves lot of disturbance and general gossips between the students. It Zoom learning increased the focus level of the students and improves my concentration level. The students prevent themselves from reaching universities campus due to distractions in their studies and effective learning (Shelton, 2020). They were not able to focus on skills and knowledge they gained form physical classes of universities. Lack of common experience: It is also the most important barriers that deals with the difference of thoughts of students to adjust into such environment where pupils of different culturehavingdifferentviewsandthoughtsweredifficulttodealwiththediverse background of students in universities. It enables the students to prevent themselves from attending physical classes where people have lack of experience to shared though and opinions of different background and dissimilarity of age. Outline the strategies your university has implemented to overcome these barriers. There are many strategies that universities has been developed to overcome the barriers and hinders that may arises in effective communication. In order to deal with certain barriers , the students need to follow few strategies in their life to gain more information and skill to achieve the career goal. There are few strategies that I developed to overcome these barriers are mentioned below: Focus on personal goal:It is important to formulate the plans and skill to develop listening skill more effectively. The information can be gained from various sources only when the person is attentive to understand the speaker what exactly he is saying. These techniques can be developed through continuous learning and practices. To develop clear understanding of views of the speaker , They used to conduct activities to developinterest in listening the 3
speaker. The universities designed certain task to emphasize on goal of very students to make them goal oriented person. Strategies for accurate perception:It is necessary for the students to develop perception only after understanding the environment to check what is going around. The students are required to improve their perception and thinking towards other to adjust with the students of different culture. They should focus on other and try to gather knowledge about them by listening them , and understanding the situation. Effective Communication:The students need to strategies the plans to make effective communication with their fellow classmates. The communication skill has significant role in students life which is not only ensure their personal growth but professional growth as well. It helps to express opinions and thoughts before others. It shows honesty and confidence in public. It ensure effective conversation between the members with any hesitation . I am able to develop set of skills that not improvedstudents proficiency but also my commitment towards my work. Increase emotional intelligence:It helps the universities to develop emotional intelligence to control my emotions and stress. Emotional intelligence makes me capable to think wisely and logically. The universities are makingthem problem solver toresolvethe problems through effective solution. Respecting other person’s opinion:It is most important to negotiate with others to give them cultural importance and value .It helps in sharing of information between the people of different culture . The respect should be given to the other’s opinion as it is necessary for survival in universities (Coetzeeand Kagee, 2020). The indifference between the different class or group can be overcome with the help of common understanding of their views. Positive attitude towards others:It is important for students to understand the human value and behaviour to highlight their personality and thoughts. It helps me to deals with uncertainties of life. However, it bring hopes and positive in dealing with problems of life. 4
CONCLUSION From this above report, it has been concluded that communication has significant importance in individual’s life. It helps to transmit the information from one sources to another to make effective plans of the life. The communication skill is required to students for their personal and professional goal. There are various barriers that may affects the communication skill of a persona and bring lot of indifference with the fellow mates at universities level. Therefore, the students are required to set short term and long term goals to communication skill mere effective one. 5
