The college has around 4000 students who studying in different departments as Health and social care, IT, Business and management as well as Computing. Now the college is facing some issues related to Market positioning. In this regard, organisation wants to introduce some new strategic direction in context of marketing through which they can being competitive in the market. This report is going to determine issue of organisation in the context of marketing. Problem identification London School of Science and Technology is leading college in UK that offers numerous courses to their students. But now a days, in the market a number of institute and colleges has grown who also offer similar courses to the students by making changes in their fees structure or by providing professional services (Aronoff and Ward, 2016). These kind of new entrance in the market can be a biggest threat for LSST because these universities are using different tool and techniques in order to promote their services in market. The marketing department of LSST is not as much effective and they do not have a social media presence that impact negatively upon organisational advertising strategy. Further, LSST do not offer any online services in context of inquiry, online studying, admission details and recruitment etc. It can create a major challenge in front of LSST because several academic institutions and colleges are offer online courses for their international students as well as online recruitment for skilled teachers. On the other hand, marketing manager of LSST have been unable to retain and recruit new professional due to lack of resources and marketing knowledge. Lack of market presence of LSST affects its capability in order to attain its target objectives and long terms goals. Competitors, customers and industry reviews Competitions: LSST is facing a major issues of new entrants in the market of UK who are also offering quality education to their students by managing changes in their
professional studies and fees structure. AS FSB is a major competitor of LSST who also having a great presence in the market because the organisation implements a core marketing strategy as by providing qualified and capable professional services in order to get attention of target students easily. These kind of competition affect market presence of LSST as well as reduce their student base that influence its market goodwill directly. Target customers:For an organisation, it is required to analyse their target customers by conducting essential marketing activities (Canziani and Tullar, 2017). Due to lack of marketing capabilities, LSST is unable to find their target client who can be skilled professionals and students. The rival of LSST are taking advantages of such things by hiring skilled professionals on the basis of effective promotional and marketing activities. Market and influencing factors: Students who wants to develop their professional career are always looking for studying with those institution who have a great market presence. Thus, it is required for LSST to create a great market presence in order to develop a strong customer base. Furthermore, professional also visit for vacancy by getting update from organisation’s side through online and offline medium thus it is essential for LSST to enhance their marketing activities. Top three issues client is facing Due to lack of marketing activities, LSST is facing several issues in which major three issues are: Lack of online presence as LSST do not have any site through which professionals and student can get required information.
