Introduction
Business consulting is known as management consulting services that help an
organisation to improve its efficiency and working performance (Kim and Chang, 2016).
Now a days, each and every organisation is taking help of business consultant at the time of
implementing changes in the business process and structure. This report is based on business
consultancy services for London school of Science and Technology which is a long
established privately managed college in London. The college has around 4000 students who
studying in different departments as Health and social care, IT, Business and management as
well as Computing. Now the college is facing some issues related to Market positioning. In
this regard, organisation wants to introduce some new strategic direction in context of
marketing through which they can being competitive in the market. This report is going to
determine issue of organisation in the context of marketing.
Problem identification
London School of Science and Technology is leading college in UK that offers
numerous courses to their students. But now a days, in the market a number of institute and
colleges has grown who also offer similar courses to the students by making changes in their
fees structure or by providing professional services (Aronoff and Ward, 2016). These kind of
new entrance in the market can be a biggest threat for LSST because these universities are
using different tool and techniques in order to promote their services in market. The
marketing department of LSST is not as much effective and they do not have a social media
presence that impact negatively upon organisational advertising strategy. Further, LSST do
not offer any online services in context of inquiry, online studying, admission details and
recruitment etc. It can create a major challenge in front of LSST because several academic
institutions and colleges are offer online courses for their international students as well as
online recruitment for skilled teachers. On the other hand, marketing manager of LSST have
been unable to retain and recruit new professional due to lack of resources and marketing
knowledge. Lack of market presence of LSST affects its capability in order to attain its target
objectives and long terms goals.
Competitors, customers and industry reviews
Competitions: LSST is facing a major issues of new entrants in the market of UK
who are also offering quality education to their students by managing changes in their

professional studies and fees structure. AS FSB is a major competitor of LSST who
also having a great presence in the market because the organisation implements a core
marketing strategy as by providing qualified and capable professional services in
order to get attention of target students easily. These kind of competition affect
market presence of LSST as well as reduce their student base that influence its market
goodwill directly.
Target customers: For an organisation, it is required to analyse their target customers
by conducting essential marketing activities (Canziani and Tullar, 2017). Due to lack
of marketing capabilities, LSST is unable to find their target client who can be skilled
professionals and students. The rival of LSST are taking advantages of such things by
hiring skilled professionals on the basis of effective promotional and marketing
activities.
Market and influencing factors: Students who wants to develop their professional
career are always looking for studying with those institution who have a great market
presence. Thus, it is required for LSST to create a great market presence in order to
develop a strong customer base. Furthermore, professional also visit for vacancy by
getting update from organisation’s side through online and offline medium thus it is
essential for LSST to enhance their marketing activities.
Top three issues client is facing
Due to lack of marketing activities, LSST is facing several issues in which major three
issues are:
Lack of online presence as LSST do not have any site through which professionals
and student can get required information.
Lack of skilled marketing staff because they are unable to attract and retain
employees by rending them required information.
LSST do not offer any online course that provide opportunity to rival to divert traffic
towards their college and online courses.
Conclusion
From the above project of LSST it has been summarised that marketing play an
essential role in an organisation in order to enhance business profitability. This division also
works to develop a strong customer base by implementing promotional and advertising

works for promotional but also to analyse customer’s requirement and market need in order

process, business consultant play an essential role by utilizing all the information in the
context of simple and complex optimization issue. This report is based on LSST which is a
well-known institution in UK that offer several professional courses to their students. LSST
wants to take consultant advice in context of staffing and maintaining professional staff in the
college. This is an issue of HR department that impacts negatively upon organisation’s
market presence. Thus it is required for organisation to improve HR policies in order to retain
professional staff for a long run duration.

LSST is a well-known quality education institution in UK that provide quality
services to its students. Now the organisation is facing some major issues in the context of
staff turnover, retention, staffing and new skilled professionals hiring (Biech, 2019). In the
educational industry, the demand of highly qualified professionals have increased. In UK
several new institution are established by offering such professional services to students.
LSST is suffering from such issue due to absence of skills in HR officer who can take
responsibility to hire skilled staff in college. These kind of practices impact negatively upon

these issues has a direct impact upon organisation’s performance that create hurdle in the path
of success as well. Thus, it is required for organisation to pay their maximum attention

professional educational services by analysing requirement of students. These kind of
competition create struggle path for LSST to remain competitive. Professional
educational services works as an effective marketing tool in order to capture eyes of
student’s for the new and existing rivals of LSST that affect negatively upon its
market presence.
Target Customers: For LSST, it is required to pay hire a skilled HR officer in their
institution or provide quality training to existing staff so that they can pay their
maximum attention towards new hiring process. Further, the target customers of
organisation will always be professionals and students. In this regard at initial level,
LSST needs to conduct develop a business strategy in order to retain their existing
professionals as well as to hire new and skilled one. On the basis of this approach,
firm can easily develop a positive market image that can assist them in attracting new
students to take admission in the college campus.
Impact of other factors: Employees motivation play an essential role in an
organisation in order to retain their professional or skilled employees for a long run
