Background of the organisation/ client-
The Regent College is a leading provider of industry in which they are associated with
diverse community to promote learning and education. The institution is having higher rate of
success in their portfolio which is the major reason of their market prominence. The institution
is highly focused over managing interactions with their students with the help of environment
geared surroundings. This is the organisation for them their students are foremost priority and
for this the institution is located at various places in London. The college is located majorly at
centre location of London which makes it convenient over any other university. The college is
flawlessly providing regular online classes to their students so that to give uninterrupted lessons
to them. The mission of the organisation is to highlight as the institution which is providing
various courses to their students without any interruptions.

The client is Regent College which is facing issues related with their organisational
management and various activities those are directly or indirectly related with students. In order
to solve such issues the organisation is trying to identify solutions related with the issues.

The major issue is faced by the organisation is related with proper communication with
their students due to lack of teachers collaboration. This is the results of not having positive
environment by which students are not able to communicate with their teachers. On the other
hand, in terms of teachers they are also not able to manage their students and engaging them in
various learning activities.
3. PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION / DISCUSSION
Competitor’s analysis (SWOT)
Strengths: The major strength of Regent College is that they have portfolio of educated
and qualified staff those are specialised in some field and having higher degree as well.
The college is also having teaching pattern in which additional skills are taught to students
so that they can be considered as different out of others (CRICKENBERGER and
VANCOUVER, 2020)
Weakness: The major weakness of the institution is related with ineffective
communication within students and teacher so that they are not able to make appropriate
coordination. Due to lack of communication image of the organisation is tarnishing in the
minds of students.
Opportunities: To generate friendly behaviour within students this issue should be taken
on priority so that student’s engagement can be enhanced and at the same time difficulty
faced by staff can also be minimised.
Threats: The major threat faced by Regent College is related with competition within the
industry. As there are various options available to students so in order to deal with this

Segmentation: Segmentation is defined as the aspect in which Regent College can divide
their students on the basis of graphical dimensions and from where students are coming
(Kezar, 2018). The institutional segmentation can be on the basis of courses offered by
students or the field in which they are pursuing their specialisation.
Targeting: Targeting is associated with such dividing large group into smaller so that

admission in prominent organisation. In this manner Regent College is providing such
trending courses to students so that to manage interest level.

so that to support them in this negative time.

within premises. The institution is working on managing protection and saving
environment.
Legal factors: There are certain laws which are needed to be followed by educational

4. TOP THREE ISSUES OF THE ORGANISATION / CLIENT
Issue one
The first issue within the organisation is related to lack of communication between
teachers and students in which ineffective results are seen (Fielden and Middlehurst, 2017). As
the classroom environment is not healthy due to which teachers are not able to manage good
relations with their students.
Issue two
Another issue is related with mental illness faced by the students due to pressure of their
education and career. In this Regent College is not providing counselling so that solutions can
be given to students in order to solve their issue.
Issue three
Regent College is having lack of staff so that not appropriate solution is given to
individual in respect of their job and career (Sainsbury and et. al., 2020). This is the reason in
which students are not able to concentrate on their career and intensity of their courses.

significant solutions can be given to the organisation. These are helpful in order to attain
