Business consulting refers to the job role that a business consultant does. The individual
that works in close contact with the owners of the business and managers for improving the
efficiency of the business operations is known as business consultant.
Royal Mail is a MNC of British origin that provides the postal and courier services. The
company is facing issues in managing the increased level of its sales. The report will give a brief
introduction of the company and the key problem it is facing. Further the report will break down
the main problem into sub problems for analysis. On the basis of the analysis the three issues that
are of top priority will be highlighted.

department of government. Royal Mail Group Limited is subsidiary company of Royal Mail
Group plc. The company is facing the issue of piling up of parcels that are to be delivered. The
company is finding itself unable to deliver the postal letters and parcels to its customers timely.
There are various reasons behind the inefficiency of the company to deliver its couriers and posts
on the given deadline to the customers (Lundan, 2018). The problem of increasing demand for
the services of the company and its in efficiency to meet the deadlines is divided into number of
issues:
Uncertain Future: The company failed to predict the increase in the demand for its
services in advance. This is the main reason behind the inefficiency of the company to
meet its increasing level of sales. It is every important for a business to analyse its future
beforehand for providing or adapting to the changes when it is required.
Weak Supply Chain: The supply chain of the company is weak. As royal mail deals in
providing the services of delivering of letters, couriers, etc. here the term weak supply
chain is used to refer to the in ability of the company to deliver the letters, parcels, etc. to
the targeted audience on the deadline (Hanegraaff and Berkhout, 2019). It is a major
factor that affects the profit earning of the company. Costumers are highly disappointed
with the poor services of the company.
