INTRODUCTION Business pitch is a presentation which is put out so that there is a higher understanding of background and planning on those basics. There are two groups which the business is interested in which are Myer and Iceland which are fully polished and carefully rehearsed sales pitch for the two projects is going to be discussed in the further report. Both the businesses in the market have their own standards and reputations in the market according to which there are strengths and weaknesses which the business will have in the market according to which the pitching of the two businesses will take place. MAIN BODY Project A (Myer) Target audience Myer has been in the market from a long run yet they are targeting the upper and idle class for the products and services which the organization is producing. There are just 80 staff in headquarter of the company which is making the processing and operations of the organization limited. The company will have to be improved and more competitive advantages will have to be got in the organization so that they can have higher sales and performance in the market. The company keeps on improving on their target audience so that there are going to be more sales and higher profitability which is going to be present in the organization which is good for the further investment in the company. Competition The rival of Myer in Australia is David Jones which was founded in 1938 which is having 37 stores nationwide and Myer is having 60 which are making Myer have a upper hand on the competitive advantage. The competition worldwide is high which is there are larger organizationswhichareinthisindustrywhichisretailingindustrylike,Tesco,M&S, Sainsbury’s, etc. There is a lot of technological aspect which is present in Myer which is going to making Myer have higher pitching advantage since they have invested a lot in the organization to
be able to operate in the market. Industry of retailing in the country is increasing which is a great disadvantage for the company but the portfolio of the organization is very high which is going to make the organization have higher performance. Myer will have to improve their competitive methods and measures will have to be taken effectively so that there are going to be higher performance which is going to be present in the market for the organization. Market The company has adapted to the changes which have come in the market over years effectively. The company is having a higher experience in the market which is around 120 years in the market which can make the organization be able to make the customers be loyal in the organization as well. The stores of Myer are very attractive and well maintained according to the standards of the customers which are a very good advantage which the organization is having in the market. There are a lot of unique products and services which Myer is having in the market which is a great factor for the organization to have in the market so that there would be higher performance which is going to be present. There are more products which the company is coming up with in the market like gluten free products for the customers since they are becoming health conscious which is important for the company to maintain which is going to make the working of the organization higher. The menu of Myer is increasing in the market which is going to make the performance and reputation of the company increase in the market which is a great factor for the organization to have in the market. The drawback of Myer is that the number of workforces is lower than Iceland which is going to impact the operations and productivity of the organization in the market which needs to be maintained so that there would be higher performance which is going to be present. Match Requirements The pitching requirements are that there has to be higher polished and careful base for the business which needs to be present in the market which Myer is having for themselves in the market which is a great advantage which the company is having in the market. Experience in the market does make a lot of difference because the workforce in the organization is also going to be well experienced which is going to make the company have higher performance which is a great factor. The competitors in the country are low which is why Iceland foods are being able to operate effectively and have higher performance. Demands and needs of the customers are being fulfilled on time which is making the company have a very good functioning which is going to make the organization have higher performance which is a very good factor for the company. Competition Currently Iceland foods is food and beverage retail organisation which in the UK’s retail industry, and currently there is very high competition in this country’s retail industry. Basically, retail industry is one of the biggest and leading industries in the United Kingdom, because businesses which works under this industry always provides essential goods and services in market place. This is the main reason that, day to day many companies and ventures enters in this sector, and that’s why day to day market competition is increasing to Iceland foods (Mohorčich and Anthis, 2018). Currently, Morrisons, Asda, Tesco etc. retail companies are giving very tough competition to Iceland foods company in market place. In this situation, venture should always provide quality services and products in market place, because currently most customers like to buy products and services from only such venture which always
maintains an extra-ordinary standard of products and services. After providing quality and exclusive range of products, this venture will gain huge competitive advantage in market place. Market Iceland foods was established 50 years ago, in 1970, in which from establishment to data, this company has focused on more and more expanding its business operations in the market place. Currently the UK’s retail industry is the main market place to this company, because it has succeeded expanded its business operations in across the country. Nowadays, Iceland foods serves in market places of 40 different countries including United Kingdom, Spain, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands, France, Germany, Canada etc. Currently most people in market place very much like to buy products and services from Iceland foods, because this venture always follows the market trends (Jercinovic and et.al., 2018). For example; now people take care for their health, so they are only taking healthy food in daily lives, and upper management of this venture completely aware about this market trend. The company focuses on providing only healthy food products and services to customers, in which it follows various approaches of operations management, because these approaches helps to maintain an effective quality of own items in market place. These all aspects and attributes of this company are very helpful in gaining huge profit margins in market place. Match Requirements In this dynamic and modern world, there lots of customers exists to a company in market place with different mindset and different motivation. All customers have their own requirements and needs, in which this is very necessary to top-level management of Iceland foods for producing products and services on the basis of market requirements. Basically, business need to match its various food and beverage items with existing market requirements (Renzaho, Kamara and Toole, 2017). In this situation, marketing department of company have to be very active for identifying and analysing actual market requirements, and then company need to manufacture and develop its products and services according to market requirements and needs for gaining huge profit in market place.
