INTRODUCTION
This report will outline a reflection in which the learning which has been will be
reflected. Therefore, the skills which are required to improve academic and professional career
are also outlined in the reflection report.
MAIN BODY
Business management skills are the skills which helps an individual in meeting business
goals through which an individual can engage in personal and professional development
activities. The skills which have been learned throughout in this module are- communication
skills, leadership skills, and management of financial resources. Throughout this module, I was
able to enhance my communication skills where I focused on verbal and non-verbal
communication which has been enhanced through interacting with people. This module was the
medium through which leadership skills have been enhanced. Through enhancing the leadership
skills, I was able to lead and complete my assigned job roles and responsibilities in selected time
frame. Therefore, this module helped me in sharpening my financial skills through which I
developed my ability to manage the financial resources which supported me in avoiding over
exploitation of resources.
In order to improve my business management skills throughout the professional and
academic career, this module helped in several ways. The approaches for enhancing the required
skills have been stated below:
Communication skills- In order to improve my communication skills, I focused in
developing my listening skills and engage with people. In order to improve the communication
skills, take time to respond, observe everything and ten will rationalize and react through which
right message can be understood and shared (Toro and et.al, 2019). Through this module, I will
focus on interacting with different people and will construct creative message through which
right message can be shared at right time.
Leadership skills- In order to develop my leadership skills, I will practice managing
disciple through which I can become a good leader. Throughout this module, I will develop my
situational awareness which will be helpful in enhancing my leadership skills (Astriani and et.al,
2020). I will focus on resolving conflicts by understanding the circumstances, through inspiring
others and through engaging in continuous learning through which continuous development can

be ensured. The leadership skills will be enhanced with the help of critical thinking and through
engaging in different activities.
Management of financial resources- In order to improve financial skills, I will focus on
managing the budgets and will plan all expenses through which budget can be managed. I will
prepare a budget, will commit in saving money and will become a conscious customer. The
financial skills was improved by learning how to mange the financial resources through which
the resources were appropriately utilised (Pratiwi and et.al, 2019). Therefore, in order top
improve my financial management skills, I will prepare and observe my income statement.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that skills and competencies are the
foundation for an individual through which they can succeed in their life by accomplishing their
objectives. There are various skills and competencies which will help in succeeding in academic
and professional career through which an individual can maximize their potential ad attract
various development opportunities.
