Introduction
Business environment can be defined as a combination of
internal and external components which influence the
activity of company including employees, customers,
organisational strategy etc.

Different types and objectives of
organisations
 Public sector- This sort
of organisation is
controlled or handled by
government only
because it invests 51%
or more share capital in
its operation.

General government- It can be further categorise in the
following manner-
 Central government
 State government
 Local government

Private sector- In this sort of company, private person plays
an important role because its management is controlled
by that individual. Its legal structure is described below-
 Sole trader
 Partnership
 Franchising

Voluntary sector- This kind of organisation is operated and
controlled by group of people with an objective that is to
improve the living of standards of society. It can also be
known as not-for-profit organisation

Size and scope of different types of
organisation
Public sector organisation- London transport company is a
government organisation who is operating their business
in United Kingdom. London transport has main objective
to business with various industry accomplice and
bondholders so they can convey sheltered, secure and
dependable movement framework.

Private sector organisation- Iceland which is a private
company, is established in UK. It provides various types
of items like vegetables, meat, dry things etc. Its mission
statement is to provide better quality of merchandise to
the people at reasonable cost so that their needs or wants
can be satisfied

Voluntary sector- This sector is established for doing
welfare of the society which got funds through gifts or
financial aid. From a research, it came to know that
approx 3.5 million non profit organisation are running
through out the world.
