Introduction
Business environment comprises of both internal and
external factors that drastically affect functioning of
company which includes management, customers,
organisational culture and business regulation. For success
of business an organisation must ensure that all these
major factors are considered so that they can make
effective planning for their business.

Types and purpose of organisations with
their legal structure
Public Sector Organisations: Organisations that are regulated
by government of a country come in category of Public
sector. It consists both services and enterprises firms
which do not work for profit motive.
Legal structure:
 General government
 State government

Private sector organisation: These organisations are run by
individuals or groups who work to generate profit. They
are normally free from control of government.
Legal structure:
 Sole trader
 Partnership
 Private limited company
 Public limited company

Voluntary organisation: A single person cannot run this kind
of organisation alone. This is called as NPO and their
main aim is to cater maximum advantages to social group.
They provide welfare to society and in addition, it has
been determined that profits never distribute amongst their
members.

Size and scope of different types of organisation
Public sector organisation: United Kingdom's government
has to run or regulate London transportation because they
are much accountable for this. They are responsible for
rail system, road way, taxies, buses and many more. In
2016, regulatory body decided budget for this was nearly
£13 billion.

business in food market which is set up in United
Kingdom. They are providing variety of goods as well as
services to purchasers which comprise dry items, meat,
fruits, vegetables and many more. They are having nearly
2.5% grocery market part in UK.

finance by charity as well as donation. In overall world,
almost 3 million companies are operating their business
as a NPO and providing welfare services to society. They
never divide revenues between their members. National
health services is an enterprise who is working in this
field.

requires assistance from persons. Thus, they will take
support from some shareholder because this will aid an
organisation into their growth as well as enhancement.
This will also provide improvement to employees who are
working with firm.
