INTRODUCTION
Business ethics plays very appropriate role to each and every business in the market. In
the United Kingdom, every busines and venture in this country has highly required to follow
various consideration of business ethics, otherwise, business which not follow this consideration
will be penalised. In this situation it is very prime responsibility of the top-level management of
a company to implement business ethics within its daily operations of business. Basically,
business ethics helps to different organisations and companies for systematically running their
operations of business. By following the concept of business ethics, a business can simply
achieve an effective workforce as well. This is report discusses business ethics and responsible
management in the context of Young’s seafood. There are Young's Seafood is a British
developer and distributor of fresh, frozen and chilled seafood, headquartered in Grimsby,
England, United Kingdom. Some other key aspects of business ethics also have been discussed
in this report. This report has been covered case of supply chains and human rights abuses.

Issue of ethics
Young’s seafood is a very reputed company in the United Kingdom that currently has a
large number of employees. Due to large scope in the seafood industry, it has very large supply
chain as well (Conill, 2017). There are lots of employees within this company puts its huge
efforts for making its supply chain more effective and also more productive. This is one of the
main reasons that, Young’s seafood has very large market share in the UK’s sea food industry.
However, currently top-level management of this company is facing an ethical issue relating
abuse and discrimination. According to top-level management at Youngs Seafood, there are
various managers and leaders works within the company who many times abuses and
discriminates various employees in the workplace on the basis of an employee’s caste, religion,
status, lifestyle, colour and ethnicity etc. These managers and leaders mainly abuse employees in
the supply chain operations and also, they not consider basic human rights in the workplace.
Basically, abuse and discrimination attempt of various managers and leaders within this
company is completely against the business ethics, in which existing management of this fishing

company has highly required to take quick steps towards removing people or elements from the
own workplace which promotes abuse attempts in the daily operations (Tran, 2019). Many times,
leaders and managers abuse their various employees and staff on the basis of their background,
like; caste, ethnicity, religion etc. in which this is big issue to company, so upper management
should think about it.
Impact of issue on the public image of company
Issues like abuse has always negatively impacted to the company’s business performance
and productivity (Remišová, Lašáková and Kirchmayer, 2019). In this situation, upper
management of Youngs seafoods need to take an appropriate decision towards systematically
deal with this abuse issue of business ethics. Attempts like employee abuse is directly violate to
the business ethics, this is the main reason that, upper management of this company should take
some favourable decision for removing this issue from the workplace. Otherwise, this issue can
be badly impacted to the Youngs seafood’s business performance and public image in the
market. Currently most organisations in market place are taking lots of productive steps to
improve their business image in market place. In this situation, upper management of Youngs
seafoods need to resolve all issues for maintaining an excellent business image in market place.
Currently this company has very positive public image in the market, so that there are lots
of people really like to buy products and services to this company. In this situation, existence of
abuse issue within this company’s business operations will be negatively affected perceptions of
customers in the market place, and at the end, Youngs seafood will be lots its excellent public
image in the market (Sabir, Tahir Naved and Khan, 2019). That’s why upper management at this
company have to properly maintained business ethics in its place of work.
Things which are important to the company
In this modern & dynamic world, it is necessary to this company for properly following
various business ethics within its daily operations, because these ethics will enable to this fishing
company for gaining excellent success in the selected market segments. Top-level management
of this company have to understood one small thing that, nowadays, there are very huge
competition in each type of industries or sectors, so that is it prime responsibility of the upper
management at Young’s sea food to inform its various managers and leaders in the workplace for
not to harm and abuse different employees in daily operations (Hauser, 2020). There are existing
