INTRODUCTION
Business ethics can be defined as the thorough study of the appropriate policies of the business
as well as the practices which includes the controversial subjects such as the corporate
governance, insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate social responsibility and many
more (Freeman, Parmar and Martin, 2020). The main purpose of the business ethics is to have
the consistent moral attitude in the company. Toyota company is located in the UK which
manufactures the products which has the two manufacturing plant in the UK. This company is
engaged in manufacturing the cars or the vehicles and this company is known for its low cost,
fuel efficient as well as the most reliable vehicles. This report will discuss the reasons for
considering the business ethical as well as the ethical philosophy the company is following.
Along with this, it will also discuss the role of the senior management in maintaining the
business standards and the role of the employees in maintaining the business standards of the
company. Later on, it will include the reflection of the module using the reflective cycle.
MAIN BODY
PART A
Ethical company and its reasons of considering it as the ethical company-
Ethical businesses are those which are offering the products to the customers which are
not damaging the environment, or they are eco-friendly products. This will help the company to
have different quality and features of the products and make them success in the market. Toyota
company in UK is the organization which is involved in manufacturing the products are not
harming the environment. The company has automated its internal structures, and they are
making the products which are ethically accepted (Sison, Ferrero and GuitiƔn, 2018). The
company regularly innovating and inventing the ways which will help the company to operate in
the environment friendly manner.
The company is based on the Mutual Trust and Mutual Responsibility, the Toyota company is
continuously working towards improving the performance so that the company can make the
equal opportunities for the employment as well as to maintain the fair and the stable working
conditions in the company. The company is working hard to create the safe and positive working
environment for the employees. The company is truly ethical company as they are consistently
working for the employees' on that they remain satisfied as well as production of the products by

the company which are not causing harm to the environment or the environment friendly
products.
Toyota company also ensures about taking the responsibility of the social as they provide
the support for the any sudden natural disasters such as earthquakes, torrential rains. To support
this type of disasters, they provide the facilities of dispatching the employees and providing them
the vehicles and many more. This shows that the company is also following the social
responsibility. The code of conduct of this company helps in organizing the basic attitudes which
us necessary for the employees which are working in the company as well as in the society as
whole. They always keep in mind the needs and expectations of the employees of the company
that shows the company also gives value to the customers as well. They keep the employees
treating them equal and also values their opinions and with this, the company also pays the
compensation to the employees on time and using the fair practices in buying process. The
company is trying to reduce the CO2 emissions from the vehicle they are manufacturing by
improving through the fuel efficiency as well as by using the hybrid technology for this.
Ethical philosophy the company is following and why-
Ethical philosophy is also known as the moral philosophy as it is concerned with what is
morally good and what is bad as well as the right or wrong. The ethical philosophies is much
important and necessary for the company to follow as this help them in as these philosophies
helps in guiding the to move in right direction by the choices the company make. These also
helps in the dealing with the ethical dilemmas which will help in the eliminating the behaviours
of the company which will help in conforming the better for the right and wrong. The Toyota
company is also following the ethical philosophy of the Customer First for providing the
attractive and the healthy products as well as the services of the customers for the meeting the
needs and the expectations of the customers. The company is seeking to achieve in leading the
market for setting the world standards in the protection of the environment as well as the safety
measures. The company has committed for the effectively maintaining the corporate philosophy
for the quality of the product, ceaseless innovations as well as the respect of the planet (Vidgen,
Hindle and Randolph, 2020).
The company is respecting the values of driving the imagination, experimentation and
respecting the opinions of the employees. The company respects the laws and the regulation of
the company as well. The company is focusing on extending the sustainability for the long term

rather than gaining the short term goals for increasing the productivity of the company. This
company is respecting the values, cultures and beliefs of the employees to create the harmonious
environment in the organization. The Toyota company is using the customer first philosophy
with the main purpose of the building the effective relationship with the customers. The
company is also following the Mutual Trust and Mutual Responsibility to improve the
performance of the business for creation of the better environment for the employees. The
company is using the philosophy which helps them to maintain the ethics with the customers as
well as with the employees. It is very important for the company to maintain this ethics ion the
business as this will help them to operate the business activities in the proper way (Hasnas,
2020).
The role of the senior management team to maintain the business standards of the company-
Senior management team in the organization is composed of the top-level employees who
are working together for effectively managing the organization. This team is headed by the CEO
that is Chief Executive Officer as this top-level team is considered as the top structure of the
company and provides the strategic decisions for the company. The main role of the senior
management team is to implement and take the decisions for the executive teams and ensures
that every member of the team has the clarity for their job role and the tasks to be performed.
The senior management team is also responsible for the strategic planning and directing the work
of the group of the individuals. They consistently monitor the work and the tasks and then takes
the corrective measures for the improvement when it is required. They guided the employees of
the company directly as well as directs the supervisors of the company. They are highly
responsible for the implementing the policies and the rules for the effective working of the
company maintaining the standards of the business in the organization. Business standards
defines the company as how it acts, how it works as this helps in building the trust of the brand
among the customers. These standards can be such as the guidelines which determines the
quality, performance, safety, testing as well as the overall management systems of the company.
The senior management of the Toyota company is highly engaged and responsible for
maintaining the business standards of the company which helps them in building the brand trust
and the image among the customers. These are standards are very important to be maintained by
this company as well because this helps the business in mitigating the risk and for growing the
business along with the sustainability. This provides the assurance to the consumers that the

which are been set by the senior management. They are the key element in following the
standards of the company as they major part who helps the organization to increase the
productivity level of the company (Fotaki, Islam and Antoni, 2020). The business standards are
specially set by the superior's for the employees so that the working by them in the organization
can be done in systematic way to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.
There is the high responsibility of the employees of the company to maintain these
standard as this will help the company to improve its standard as well as the processes. This will
also enable the employees to reduce the waste and cuts the costs. The business standard are to be
followed by the employees as this helps them in improving the customer satisfaction and
increases the sales as well (Nelson and Stout, 2022). These all work is performed by the
employees themselves sop they play a vital role in maintaining the business standard of the
company. Toyota company's employees are also effectively maintains the business standards
which has been implemented by the senior management of the company. They follow business
standard which helps them in growth of the company as well as stay ahead in the highly

standard by checking the quality of the products and the recruiting the better employee for the

Reflection by using Gibbs' Reflective Model-
Gibbs' reflective cycle is the self reflection as well as the management tool which the
learners can effectively explain the experience about learning. There are five stages of this model
which can be used to explain the learning experience (Yaacob and Asraf, 2021).
Description- The learning experience of this module was quite good as this helped me in
understanding the ethical business and what all are the reasons for considering for the business as
ethical. This module enabled me to learn the ethical philosophies which the Toyota company is
following and why they are following these. The learning experience of this module was good
because it helped me in giving the proper theoretical understanding of the business ethics.
Feelings- While learning this module, I felt much satisfied as this has enabled me to learn many
topics in the detailed manner. The topic of the role of the senior management has helped me in
understanding the role and the responsibilities of the top-level management as how they help in
maintaining the business standards in the organization. This has also explained the importance of
setting as well as following these business standards by the business. The module involves many
topics in it I felt bad at the place where the module has not much focused on the development of
the skills for the individual which will help them in the future (Mili, Gharbi and Teulon, 2019).

Evaluation- The learning experience was much satisfied for me as they have used the good and
the effective content for the learning the topics. These topics are much helpful for me in the
future. The module was not covering all the topics of the business ethics at this place I felt much
dissatisfied because of learning that whole topic I have to learn the another module in the future.
Analysis- The learning of the topics from this module is much meaningful and purposeful as
they will help me in the using this theoretical knowledge in the future so this module was much
helpful for me. The learning process of this module as able me to understand the critical thinking
for the business to follow the ethics (Dimmock and Fisher, 2020).
Conclusion- The leaning experience was much good for me as they have provided me in
understanding the topics which are much important for manager to understand these topics. This
has included the role of the senior management, the role of the employees in the maintaining the
business standards.
Action Plan- Learning this module has helped me in understanding the ethics of the business
which will hep me in the future if I will become the manager of the company. The knowledge
acquired in this plan is much better as this will help me in the future for dealing with the business
ethic issues effectively.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that the ethics are very important for the
businesses to follow as this helps them in growth of the company, This report has discussed the
ethical business and the reasons why the company is considered as the ethical business. Along
with this, this report has also includes the ethical philosophy the company is following and why
they are following this as well as discussed the role of senior management in maintaining the
business standards in the organization. Further, by going through this report this also has
discussed the role of the employees in maintaining the business standards which has been set by
the senior management of the company. Later on, it has discussed the learning experience of this
module by using the reflective models.
