INTRODUCTIONThe term business ethics stands as framing rules and regulations for an organisation tofind out the unethical code of conduct. It mainly deals with measuring out the variation betweenethical and unethical code of conduct in the enterprise. The business ethics has been passed toprovide basic duties and obligation so that corporation can run successfully. In other words itfocuses on the activities like insider trading, felony, fiducial responsibilities and controversialissues in an organisation. Business ethics is considered as important phenomenon with respect togovernment, society and stakeholder which are connected to the company. Furthermore, withthe help of bushiness ethics damages and wastage in the enterprise can be reduced (Francis,2013). In this project report a case study has provided which is related to the Volkswagen carmanufactures. In which defeat services has been addressed which lowering the fuel efficientcapacity to 40% and regulates emission. Due to which the US department of justice filed the caseVolkswagen on the basis of environment protection. Firm had manufactured more than 500000cars. It Effects as causing loss of money, goodwill and brand image of the corporation. In thiscase study unethical behaviour of business has been found for which effective or correctivemeasures should be taken to overcome it. TASK 11.1 Description of various approaches to have ethical approach to business enterprise.There are different approaches through which an effective measure can be taken to createethical behaviour in the organisation. Such theoretical approaches are-Deontology approach- The word 'Deon' has taken for Greek which stands for duty. Theperception of this theory is based on duty or obligation which has to be followed. It is based onspecific moral responsibility seen as self evident, having intrinsic value which need no furtherexplanation. This theory works as making decision or look at the action and decides whether itsright or wrong. In the given case study it has defined that Volkswagen deliberately doing thisunethical conduct and sold more than 500000 defeated cars (Mahoney, 2013). Even the CEOnamed winterkon admitted this misconduct and apologized for the same. Firm need to find theactual perpetrator who is responsible for this conduct. It majorly affects the rules, policies ofCSR and whole framework of the company. Teleological approach- This approach mainly focus on the consequence's of outcome on thebasis of action taken. Further they involve in making decision and finding out the ramification

from such decision taken. This theory helps in determining the correct outcome. Themanufacture of Volkswagen knew that their misconduct will be caught one day even though theycontinuously practising such event. Ethical egoism is the example of teleological approach. Utilitarian approach- Utilitarian approach is the kind of the ethical theory which states that thebest act is the one that maximise the utility and happiness for the number of people. Themisconduct of Volkswagen car manufactures results in brining dissatisfaction of clients whichact as major ramification (Morris and et.al., 2013). It majorly affects the brand image of the firm.The main aim of this theory is to least the amount of harm and preventing the greatest amount ofsuffering.1.2 comparison between absolute and relative theories.The term relative approach is based on things i.e. character and relationship and other oneis principles. This approaches to the theory is also known as deontological. It shows better rolein the moralistic or professional ethics. It generally focuses on the moral philosophy and decisiontaken ability of the person. In addition to this the manufacturer of Volkswagen knew of theirmisconduct even though they continuously involved in production and selling activity. On beingfound their mistakes they blamed on issues related to the software. It majorly affects the outsideenvironment, brand image of the company and clients get influenced through such act.Moreover, to the theory of utilitarian if dishonest sometimes can have the best result thenit would be good to lie (Craft, 2013). It relates on the facts that correct or false depend on the endof the action. The better result can be achieved with the help of this theory as it gives itsconsideration on the things like telling lies for earning profit can be in right way. By followingthis approach the stakeholder of the company made a billion of profit amount.
