INTRODUCTIONAn Information system is considered as the system that is organised enough fororganising, gathering information, storing and interacting (Hevner and Chatterjee, 2010). Also, itcan be termed as a composition of various components that makes a sort of interaction forproducing a set of data and information. It is being used by the JS supermarket in order to makethe operation's more flexible and also for increasing the overall productivity of the company. Thereport is about understanding how MIS can help JS supermarket in improving the organisationalefficiency and also the efficient information system that can help in maximising the rate ofoverall profitability. TASK 1Efficiency of MIS over improving operational efficiencyA management information system (MIS) is considered as a systematic database and isalso meant as a larger infrastructure. It is known for storing much amount of data of the financialstatus and also, helps in providing report on a regular basis. Special reports can also be obtainedfrom the system by means of management information system. It gives a sort of feedbackconsisting of the whole analysis about how the performance went on an overall basis.Operational efficiency is considered as the ratio between two basic terms, the input amount usedto run the business and the output gained by the company from the customers and audience.Productivity is also when JS supermarket, by various means, will be able to gain a huge amountof satisfied customers, thus a larger productivity as well. An efficient MIS can actually help inimproving these two factors, operational efficiency along with the productivity because it helpsin providing a direction to JS supermarket and on the basis of it, the company can be able toachieve the operational efficiency as well as the productivity at a higher extent. It can be done bythe following methods :A MIS makes use of the raw data and information about various different factors of thecompany such as the functions of it, information about various technical systemsinvolved etc. So they can be combined with that of the information and data that has beencollected by the customers in expert systems and the combination then helps inrepresenting the procedures of the JS supermarket. There are five basic areas of the management information system namely, mainframes,personal systems, enterprise computing, cloud computing, client/server networks and JS1
