From the last two decades, most of the companies having their own
information systems to manage various business functions. There are many types of
information systems are available in the market to resolve various types of business
problem of an organization. MIS infrastructure has performed four basic functions,
which are built, deploy, use, and share. It uses data, assets, and processes including
software, hardware, network, client, and server. In addition, business intelligence
technologies are used for the management of various business processes in a good
manner (Sabherwal & Becerra-Fernandez, 2012).
It supports operations, changes, and environment. In addition, it supports
operations using information MIS infrastructure in clouding backup and recovery
plan, business continuity plan, as a disaster recovery plan. It uses agile MIS
infrastructure for supporting changes and it uses sustainable MIS infrastructure to
support the environment. In addition, big data and data mining have used for
optimization and it provides better results (Vercellis, 2011).
Characteristics of Agile MIS infrastructure
There are seven characteristics of agile MIS infrastructure, which areas:
1. Accessibility: it is an important part of agile MIS infrastructure. on the time of
operating a system, it defines the having access to the capacity of the consumer
and their appearing potential. The utility is being accessed via the consumer. On
occasion, the software is being accessed only by means of the administrator, for
this reason; there may be some limitations of having access to it by way of some
other person except the administrator branch.
2. Availability: It is necessary to provide full time availability of system to make all
services working properly. If the device is being operative all of the instances then
the provision of the products might be excessive, however, whilst it is not operating
then it will be unavailable to the user and the transaction manner cannot take
vicinity.

3. Maintainability: A system must always maintain to provide better services. The
device is being maintained properly. Machine upkeep method the system may be
speedily accessed via the user so that the consumer can effortlessly do the
transaction system. The gadget is to be maintained as consistent with the
enterprise change which means that the exchange in the customer’s wishes and
their requirements.
4. Portability: The system may be portable while the software is to be operated on
specific styles of systems (computer systems, laptops, mobiles, and others).
5. Reliability: It ensures if a machine is being operated successfully or no longer. If it
is running effectively then it gives correct statistics to the user. The accurate
information manner that the assignment will have any errors and may be accessed
effortlessly.
6. Scalability: It increases the increased fee to fulfill the desires of the person. It
means the ability of the machine is to raise the size of the product such that the
clients are happy with the provider. Virtualized systems can provide better services
to the company to manage their various operations in a proper manner.
7. Usability: It way to recognize the consumer’s desires. The gadget is to be
designed in the sort of way so that it can be efficaciously used and the person can
without problems research the procedure of using it. The system can use various
types of resources and those resources are available remotely.
Components of sustainable MIS infrastructure
There are three main components of sustainable MIS infrastructure, which areas:
Social dimension:
MIS infrastructure has many components to manage all the processes with
good quality. Therefore, it is necessary to manage all the things in proper order. In
addition, the social dimension must consider by the MIS infrastructure in which it
includes various communities and provides an interface between the company and
the societies.
