Abstract
This report helps in focusing on the various kinds of concepts that are majorly used in Internet of
Things (IoT) and their relation with Business Intelligence (BI) technologies. The research on this
study helps in focusing on the impact of business intelligence and the various kinds of
relationships among both of these platforms. The study is based on the collection of IoT enabled
data and the roles they play in enhancing the quality of life of the people who are involved with
the use of these kinds of these form of technologies. The research is based on the study of the
data collected by the IoT enabled devices. This data could be processed with the help of Business
Analytics or with the use of Business Intelligence technologies. The different forms of impact
based on the IoT enabled data would be needed for understanding the types of analysis based on
the Business Intelligence technologies. With the rise of different forms of platforms based on IoT
connected devices, there have been also a major rise of the need based on the analysis of data.
The report helps in discussing about problem statement that focuses on the relation within
business intelligence and their links with the IoT framework. The report also focuses on the
various challenges within the concerned domain and also provides different forms of
recommendations for the sector.
1. Introduction
1.1 Introduction to the Problem and Domain
In the recent times big data analytics, business intelligence and the IoT enabled technologies
have gained a significant amount of focus in the recent times. These have become the vast form
of trending topics that have been the major form of discussion among the researchers (Riggins &
Wamba, 2015). The rise of smart environment within the business has majorly evolved in the
recent years. This form of environment majorly consists of smart devices that are able to transmit

real-time data with the help of smart form of networks. The making of various forms of decisions
within the business platforms is a high need in this age.
The making of different forms of decisions is facilitated with the help of greater form of

improvement in the processes of making of decisions based on business intelligence would help
in the critical form of making decisions within the business processes (Lee & Lee, 2015). The
rise of Business Intelligence with the aid of IoT enabled devices have gained a major form of
importance within various larger organizations. The right form of making of decisions is very
much helpful for the successful form of implementation within the processes of businesses. The
real time analytics and processing of the data would be meaningful for the successful
implementation of work within the business processes. The current form of data would be
helpful in validating the relevance of the data (Shrouf, Ordieres & Miragliotta, 2014).
The structure of the report would help in focusing about the different literatures, which would
focus in understanding about the current structure use of Business Intelligence and their relation
with the IoT based devices. The IoT connected devices would help in gathering a vast form of

the context of the business within various sectors. The study helps in the knowledge about the
ways in which this data would help for improving the business processes and thus help in
promoting the context of the business. Further research within the article would be helpful in

The Internet of Things (IoT) could be defined as a form of interconnected devices and various

commercial field will not only allow the business solutions to be fluent among the various
sectors of the commercial world but will also allow to have a maintenance in a static workflow
between the technology and the concerned world (Behmann & Wu, 2015). Presently it has been
observed that the IoT tools for business have started to gain fame and the popularity. The
purpose of this research was to show how the internet of things along with the collaboration with
the business intelligence would be able to have a positive impact in the commercial world
(Laursen & Thorlund, 2016). With this research, it has also been shown how the various intricate
modules of the IoT will be able to provide effective solutions to the business world circumfusing
the profitability and the generic evolution of the business sectors. The research further intends to
work on the different processes involving the different modules of internet of things with the
integration of the cloud computing facilities and services. The integration of the cloud computing
and its services will be chosen to provide a further boost to the effectiveness of the business
process solutions (Dar et al., 2015). In addition to that, the cloud computing services will allow
the various sectors of the business and the commercial sectors to have substantial grip on the data
generated by the system IoT enabled devices.

From the above sections of this research and the various findings gathered from the secondary
sources such as several literary articles and the peer reviewed journals, it can be concluded that
internet of things have largely impacted the different processes of business with collaboration of
the business intelligence in the field of commerce and the sectors relating to it. The deployments
of the IoT related technologies and the IoT centric applications are being launched everyday with
the various forms of innovative techniques and newly formed developments. However, the
collaboration of the internet of things along the primordial coastlines of business is still in the
stage of processing and interim workouts. Different new techniques are being introduced every
day that proves that the technology in the modern era is not in a state of constant but is rapidly
improving with the provided timeframes and the architectural domains of the technological
world. With the implementation of the internet of things services, the companies will be able to
have a successful grip on their insights and valuable data. The IoT test beds provide an excellent
platform to carry out the various experiments that are to be further implemented within the real
timeframes and executed with the real type of situations.
This research proposal is provided with a combination of the annotated bibliography in the form
of five peer reviewed articles. These articles help to develop a fair idea about the different
implications of the internet of things associated with the various modules of business. The
articles provide an excellent platform to cater the outlooks of the internet of things based devices
and its applications in the world of commerce and business. The research methodology speaks
about the processes through which data will be collected. Recommendations with respect to the
findings of the research has also been provided with the future works of the research.

This research is aimed towards the successful implementation of the internet of things in
business intelligence. From the findings of the secondary data collected from the various
secondary sources such as the literary papers and the peer reviewed journals it is evident that
internet of things has a huge implication in the thriving evolution of the business intelligence in
the world of business and the commercial sector. The internet of things has been largely
embraced by both the corporate world and the business sectors that are large in nature. Although
there have been problems being faced by the various small and medium scale enterprises, the
internet of things has been able to provide with almost every solutions to the various fields of the
business sectors. The implications of IoT in business intelligence include the collections of data
by the internet of things along with the processing of data by the business intelligence. The
internet of things in collaboration with the business intelligence software solutions is helpful in
prospering the business and help in flourishing the business. The collaboration aims to improve
data safety, make smart decisions and reduction of the costs. Therefore, it is recommended that
the internet of things must be implemented to improve the business intelligence experience. It is
also recommended that the solutions provided by the internet of things solutions is carefully
