In July 2015, as the tourism sector begun experiencing political turmoil and uncertainty
due to brexit vote, couple decided to establish Forsyth Travel. Floen is an attractive suburb of
Bergen on the West Coast of Norway.

The price for Luxury product shows a regular increase but at declining rate so as to
achieve revenue targets. Over the years, price charged for the Luxury apartment rose because
of rising market demand in the sector. However, price for Standard apartment decreased since
2015 due to less demand.

Historical results evident that rising demand for the Luxury apartments brings
substantial growth in the total sales of luxury apartments per week. It shows a continuous
increase over the period till 2017 stated that more number of buyers are demanding luxurious

apartment to have superb accommodation facilities. On the other side, Standard Apartment
sales present declining trend and a signpost of lower demand among people.
Luxury apartment has fully utilized its capacity by reaching the occupancy rates of 100%
whereas Standard Apartments occupancy rates is just 73.91% which we need to improve.

Office rent, depreciation, travel and office sundry expense will remains fixed to that of
2017 whereas spending on marketing raise total spending and also increase salary cost due to
hiring of Tim and marketing student on part-time salaried basis.

In future, as Forsyth Travel decided to invest to improve the quality of Apartment so as
to offer additional facilities to people inside room for better accommodation quality.
Cost will be increase on fresh flower arrangements, toiletries, complimentary tea and
coffee, laundry and cleaning facilities in line with the industry standards.

Standard Apartment occupancy rates will be increase by spending more on marketing
and offering extra facilities in the apartments to the client that will drive more demand.

By planned decision to raise selling price for Luxury Apartment by 7.5% will help to
achieve BEP earlier at just the total sales of 52 Apartments and beyond this, Forsyth Travel will
obtain profit. However, Standard Apartment price had not been changed and also additional
facilities were provided to the client so as to raise demand and achieve the targeted sales
volume of 900. Its BEP point will be achieve at sales of 412 Apartments.

Net contribution will be 45.25% and net profit for FY 2018 will be 28% on total sales

REFLECTION ON THE PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION TO PROJECT
By participating in the tem to develop the investment pitch greatly help me in personal
and professional development. At the beginning stage, we all meet together and discussed upon
the main themes of the presentation. We have selected those members who are confident in
presentation. During this stage, we had segregated work according to the specification like
creativity, narrative explanation, intersecting themes and others. Immediately, all the members
begun collecting and posting the main components to presentation, creating handouts and
narrative outlines. We had decided to meet twice a week in meeting to discuss upon key
concepts.
In this presentation, I put my best effort and presented ideas for design, content quality,
visualization through creating graphs in MS Excel, handouts and coordinating with other
members. Collaborative supports with the team members helps in creating the best presentation.
During the presentation, I was delegated with the formal role to interpret every slide narratively.
Presenting slides artistically and uniquely makes it effective and interesting among audience.
Moreover, as we all were working in a team therefore, to communicate with others, I
actively participated in team meetings and also used other communication channel, specially, e-
mail to keep in touch with all. Further, collaborative supports from others developed mutual
trustworthy relationship and helps to overcome unexpected work stress. Time-management was
one of the great concerns, still, prioritizing and work segregation helps us to meet deadline.
No-doubt, the presentation proven extremely helpful for myself in enhancing time-
management skills, communication skills, research skills and employability skills as well.
Despite this, as I has no sound knowledge of financial concepts like break-even point, cost
structure and types, budgeted income statement and others. Still, working in a team provided me
an opportunity to learn such varied concepts through co-member’s assistance and guidance. In
this respect, I gain knowledge of financial concepts and learn about their practical significance
for the organizations. In the presentation, I played my role very well as the artistic and narrative
explanation of the slides was encouraged and praised by every member which makes me proud.
In addition, disciplined working practices, scheduling and prioritizing strategies were employed
by us so as to create presentation on time.
Overall, I put my genuine effort and work objectively by focusing on the targets. I work
honestly and thoughtfully to complete the assigned task duties on a right time. All the members

had really worked well and high level of dedication and helping spirit. I also respected other
members valuable contribution as without their support and guidance, it would not be possible
for me alone to complete it. In addition, as the task was to create a presentation therefore, I also
improved my presentation skill and learning attitude greatly helps me to gain knowledge of
different concepts. Timely meetings and brainstorming sessions significantly contributed towards
enhancing analytical and critical thinking skills. Despite this, creative presentation improves
creativity and innovativeness to generate the interest of audience during presentation.
