INTRODUCTION
The Industrial disaster creates the major destruction by all the leading man made areas
and their imputations. That destruction can be seen in Bhopal gas tragedy which is popularly
known as Bhopal disaster was a leakage in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh , India. All the organisation
should follow the ethical norms and values that are important in the cultural and the
environmental development of the company(Clarkson, and Miller, 2020). There always leads to
create a major disaster which makes various ethical and legal issues in relation with all the
companies. In this report it includes the assessment of ethical issues in Bhopal gas tragedy with
various turbulence and theories being implemented in it which created that enormous disaster.
TASK 2
Bhopal Gas Disaster was one of the worst disaster that has been happened in the history.
It has enormously affected large number of people as that was due to the leakage of Methyl
isocyanate which was a hazardous gas that been made by the UCC that is union carbide
commission and they had created a pesticide sevin on the plant that is being made in India named
Union carbide India Limited.
UCIL was being setted up in India as the main branch was firstly being about to set in
Bombay but the government of Madhya Pradesh insisted that the plant should be shifted in
Bhopal. So in 1979 that plant has been framed ion Bhopal. There were about 50.8% of subsidiary
of this plant being raised in Bhopal and that also made that the main pesticide use to come from
UK and the remaining mixing was being done on the factory.
The Incident
On the night of 2-3 December 1984 at Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) in Bhopal,
Madhya Pradesh , India faced a blast of MIC the pesticide plant which variedly have various
chemical substances as there were tanks that are being filled with MIC namely E610, E611 and
E619 as the average of the pressure and the gas may be filled for not more then 30 tonnes but on
that day the tanks were filled of 42 tonnes and that created a immense pressure in the
tanks(Cortez, 2018). It was world's worst industrial disaster which took the life of over 5 lac
people in which approx 2000 died in an instant and the others which are about 300,000 suffered
and affected.

Impacts and the Reason for disaster.
After that disaster has been taken place there were about most of the life were gone about
3700 tonnes of the pesticides was mixed with the environment and that created immense loss in
the nature and the life. The people were there about facing various problems like breathing,
choking, eye irritation and also the neurological disorder. The women were not being able to
conceive properly and the infants also faced major issue in there health.
The factory and the supervisors were even being aware about the danger has not
mentioned that to the workers. As on that same day while cleaning of tanks water has been raised
in the tanks of MIC and that got reacted with the chemicals(Lynch, and et. al., 2019). The
temperature meters were not working properly, all the vent scrubbers were not changed there
were many times seen that the leakage of Phosgene has taken place all these were harming the
environment and created a huge mess. The workers were facing the language barrier and that
made them to work in great difficulty as for not knowing the manual.
Ethical Issues
The UCC has made all the careless act that has been raised in the work as there has been
seen that the there was lack of ethics and morals which were needed to be followed on the
organisation. As this is the prime duty of all the companies that they should try to follow all the
culture and the development with the conduct and there has been seen that even after knowing
the hazardous impact the company has not guided there employees and the workers. The
location of plant was another major reason which leads to the questioning of ethical position of
company. Plant was located in the midst of city and which just turned the whole city into a gas
chamber on the night of tragedy in order to neglect of ethical code of conduct and presence of
poor quality and lack of various instruments. Also, there were two out of three safety systems
were not functioning which would have helped in preventing the chemical reactions and cooling
of methyl gas with the help of refrigerators were not cooperating(Pant, 2020). This leads to the
presence of drastic havoc which hampers the life of people. As that was the prime duty of the
UCC that they would have taken all the measures and control in order to avoid any general
disaster that can take the life of people. Thus, all these issues shows the inefficiency of parent
company and their inability to qualify various ethical positions in the company.

Philosophical theories and professional body ethical guidance.
The philosophical theory implies that all the approach that are being made by the person
and the individual that can make them to known about the future impact over any area. Thus
theory imparts an empirical idea that has been given to any person in order of there work.
In Bhopal disaster there has been seen that the there has been already that such incident
can talk place as when applied there has been a major imputed areas of concerns like the splash
of Phosgene and various leakage of the gases like Methyl isocyanate, Carbon tetra chloride etc.
that has just made aware to all that such things can create a huge issue in the environment in
future(Hall, 2018). All the managers and the supervisors should try to make the ideas and
working in various field and that use to make an impact as these conducts and the guidance

MIS development
Management information System provides all the areas through which the planning of the
information system can be made as in all the organization it is important to mention the details
about the information which is required in order to determine the resources. There has been seen
that UCC even being the most known company has not made a proper planning about the use of
there capital and the funds and they has not taken a proper measure for making the company to
work in the proper way. There was a lack of MIC in the company as they were earning the basic
profit but were not applying it for the betterment of the organization. There has been seen that all
the works that are allocated have to be properly defined in the issues that are coming in any areas
and fields and that issues are generally being considered to be the drawbacks of nay organization.
The UCC were even being aware about all the information has not shown concern to
implement it and there has been made that all the raised funds and the capitals are used by them
for there own good not for making the development of the equipment and the products. All the
information that is being made for the company can there by implement all the areas and it
