Introduction
Business law refers to the law that governs the dealings between people and the
commercial matters that arise between them. There are two areas of business law which are
regulation of commercial entities through the laws of partnership, company, bankruptcy
and other is regulation of commercial transactions which arise through the contract between
them. This power point presentation covers the summary about the project on contract law
and law relating civil liability and consumer laws.

Contract law
As it is seen that the contract is the legal binding upon the parties that enters into an
agreement which defines the terms and conditions of performing of a particular task. In a
contract it is necessary for the offerer to make an offer and it is necessary for other party to
accept that offer.

As in the given case the contract was entered between the parties named Kowaiski and
Smith who entered into a charter party contract in which Smith has to load wheat in the
Russian port. After the contract the countries Russia and United Kingdom declared a war
before the time of performing the contract.
So it was seen that this contract is the illegal and void as the parties has become alien and
of they continues the contract then they would become liable towards the countries.

Corporation law
This part of report was about the corporation law which includes the law that are related to
torts and the civil liability of the people. The civil liability can be divided into two parts
which includes, liabilities arising out of breach of contract and the liabilities that arise out
of torts.

As it is dependent on the decision of court that liabilities which arise due to the decision of
court and it is the civil wrong which helps deciding the liabilities. As in the legal sense
breaching and commissioning of tort is an offense and gives rise to liability for damages.

In the given case it is advised that as Michael can raise
defense under the civil liability as there was no
contract which was entered between them and it was
not the duty of Michael to provide her care. As she
knew that Michael was drunk she chose to go with
her. So it was her own consensus to do so and it is the
not the liability of Michael.

Conclusion
From the above power point it is concluded that business law is one of the main aspect
which helps the corporate to work properly according to the ethics and regulation that are
defined in the law. It is the agreements that has been entered by the parties which make
them legally bounded by the terms that are decided by them.
