INTRODUCTIONLegal laws are playing a major role in protecting innocent people from dangerous effectsand exploitative activities. As per the media report Western Australian is facing numerous ofproblems regarding fines due to emergence of fire at society (Cassese and et. Al., 2011). As aresult number of legitimate problems are identified which have a major impact on entirecommunity. Therefore assignment is going to highlight issue which is raised in WesternAustralia and its outcomes. Significance of laws in specific media report and role of council isalso outlining in this project. 1. Area of law and its relevancy to reportIt is indispensable to apply law on distinct situation because it help society in variouscomplicated situations by resolving issues in appropriate way. According to given scenariogoverning bodies are charging fines with landowners due to fire because it may hamper the lifeof others. Thus as per the report around 840 fines are charged by them in western Australia.Thus, tort law might used as well as advisory bodies demand money for recovering specificdamages’ which occurred due to fire. Corporations law is applied on this scenario due to themajor role which is played by governmental bodies in order to overcome this situation in anappropriate manner as well as trying to protect society from danger. 2. Functioning of laws in different areasLegitimate bodies are very vital or useful because they are involving in designing severaltype of acts which is applicable on distinct situations by playing their significant functions(Stockmann and Gallagher, 2011). Thus, various circumstances and suitable laws are describedas follows:-Ensures reasonable predictability in daily life:- Consumer law is applied in this situationas if an individual is going to pay a money for a product then they must get it. Encourages and discourages certain conduct:- Criminal law suits on this situationbecause it discourage aggressive action at societal place. Grants rights and powers to individuals and groups of people- Corporation law isapplicable on this situation.
