After visiting your website, I have immersed myself in your well-known, ground breaking work
in technical service company. I have working experience of 3 years in hospitality industry where
I worked as a team leader, receptionist and café assistant. My experience with your
advertisement criteria aligns well as I have deal with numbers of customers.
After working as, a receptionist and team leader, I have advanced knowledge in developing

Reasons for working with us.
I want to work with this organisation because this company is one of the famous and also it have
good reputation in the market. Every individual likes to work with such companies which have
good market reputation. I want to explore opportunities so that I can grow and also it is good for
personality development (Matthews and Wrigley, 2017). I want to learn as learning is
continuous process and I believe that I will get lots of opportunities from which I can learn a lot.
I am also attracted for this job because of multi cultural environment of the organisation. As
there are many departments which include finance, marketing, operations, reception etc and all
people who are working in those departments have came from different cultural background.
Those people can provide various ideas which can be adopted to work effectively in the industry.
I believe that while working in this organisation will not only grow or enhance my professional
skills but with time an individual can learn commitment fulfilling and also how to deal with
various clients so that company can generate more revenue. As in this company I need to
communicate with customers and will build my communication skills.

Description of time when worked in a group to achieve objective.
After working in a group I have realised that team working is best when objective has to be
achieved fast and accurate. In my previous organisation I have worked in a group and
organisation have given task to increase its customer base. Our team leaders has divided tasks
among every member. Each one has given different different tasks. My task was to handle social
media platforms of company. I have to post regular updates on various social media platforms so
that customer can see what new or innovative company is bringing. It had realised that when
daily updates are done on social media then it help company to increases sales and revenue.
After this group task the outcome was very good. As company has achieved what is planned and
its customer base has increased (Blok, 2020). So it is obvious that when an individual works in a
team then work gets distributed so that is why tasks or objectives rapidly gets achieved. While
working in a team an individual also did not face much issues because there are many people
who can help to solve the issues.
Identification of new approach to solve a problem.
In my previous organisation I have worked as a receptionist. There was one customer who has
complaint about room service staff and he was very angry. He was not ready to listen to any one
because he said that he is not satisfied with the service of this hotel and staff has also misbehaved
with him. So he said that he will file complaint against this hotel and will involve police in this
matter. When any customer is dissatisfied then it can hurt company's reputation because he or
she can say negative things about the organisation which can reduce company's sales and profits.
When this case has came to me I have used creative thinking skills. Firstly I talk with that
customer and also try to relax him and asked about what issues he is facing. I have realised that
he was very angry and not listening to me. But eventually I convinced him and he got calm.
After that I have also given him discount so that can compensate for the inconvenience what is
has to face. The outcome is he was very happy that hotel has listen his problem and also
provided solution (Mosteanu and et.al., 2019).
Managing various priorities and completing tasks in short period.
As a receptionist there are various tasks which has to be accomplished which includes greeting
clients, booking meetings, making sure that proper cleanliness in maintained and customer is not
having any issue, distributing post, screening phone calls etc. these all are so much
responsibilities and also all these tasks have to be accomplished successfully in short time

period. First of all in the morning only I list down tasks which has to be completed and also
assign time to each tasks. As through this it gets easy to complete properly and also on time. By
following this process one can identify that which task has to be give how much time. That also
helps in eliminating delay of tasks. In the morning only I try to read all mails which I received
from customers and from management and also I make sure that in the morning only I give reply
to each and every email. This method helps in completing task in short time period. As managing
multiple task or to become multitasker is not easy but when you planned things then it becomes
very easy and convenient as well.
Project on which you worked which require you to persuade others to your point of view.
While in my previous organisation I have organised event with my team members. It was
cultural event which has to be organised for employees only. The objective of event was to
ensure that every employee can know each other by participating in various activities. Such
events are necessary for employees so that they can take some time out from work and can relax
by enjoying in the event (Erasmus, Strydom and Rudansky-Kloppers, 2017). While I was
planning activity I discussed every activity with my team. There are people who did not agree
with my plan and said that this plan will not work. Initially I got angry that how they reject my
plan without understanding it. But after that I have explained what I have planned and also why
I have planned by giving examples. I have successful in convincing each and every team
member. We all worked and arranged event. The outcome was that event was a big success. My
manager has appreciated our team and said that in future also such event should be organised
because it motivates employees and also make them happy.

In regards to curriculum vitae, I want to say that it is a document that is being used when
applying for jobs by individuals. It allows them to summarise their education, experience and
skills that makes them able to successfully sell their abilities to potential employees. There are

Reflection for knowing business readiness
Description: I want to discuss my experience in which I worked as a receptionist in at
Sidney hotel London, Victoria. By working there, I realised that having an effective
communication skill is vital. It plays a vital role. Initially, I had fear to talk to guests but after
sometimes, I found that this job role increased my communication skill. I believe that
communication skill can help me out in performing job role in new hotel.
Feelings: I feel that working as a receptionist is the main task as we have to deal with
numbers of different behaviour of customers (Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin, 2020). We need
to identify their needs and have to provide service accordingly. Also, receptionist has to
coordinate with all other departments. I feel that I can now work in well-known hotel and can
satisfy customers’ needs and increase their experience. It can help me out in starting a new
business and working in other reputed hotel.
Evaluation: I want to share my experience and all those times when I faced some
problems while working as receptionist, café assistant and team leader. I performed numbers of
roles such as: managing guest services, identifying clients’ needs and satisfying them. My skill
of managing time made me able to perform all these job roles in a timely and effective manner. It
was the main key of my success and it boosted my confidence and I believe that I can work in
the future in an effective manner (Sekarwinahyu, Rustaman, Widodo and Riandi, 2019). On the
other hand, there were some situations where I faced some problems and one of the main
example of it was: Covid-19. At the time of covid-19, we all had to suffer the most and
hospitality sector was the one that got affected. At that time, I also faced problems as due to lack
of my flexibility skill, I was unable to adapt new changes and working from home. It was
completely new for me to perform all activities from home. But with my peer support, I solved
this problem and after some time, I made myself able to perform all activities with effectiveness.
I believe that I am ready for new business.

Conclusion: It has been concluded from this study that communication and time
management skills play a vital role as it helps in performing out all functions in an effective
manner and establishing a new business in the future (Yaacob and Asraf, 2021).
Action plan: As I discussed that I faced some problems due to environmental changes. For
decreasing all problems, I developed personal development plan by identifying all areas in which
I want to improve myself and my skills. This plan helped me out in improving my skills and
solving all problems.
Overall, I can say that this self-evaluation and action plan can increase my skills and
knowledge that will be beneficial in career development.
