INTRODUCTION
Business management refers to managing overall functions of a company that can help in
attaining specific goals and objectives. Management mainly includes planning, controlling,
directing along with organising of over all business operations so that goals can be attained right
on time. Under this assignment, journal which is being chosen for the topic i.e. human resources
and report is going to be enclosed with summary of three different articles related to set topic and
these are going to be based on qualitative research, quantitative research and literature review.

Journal which is being used in present report with the help of “The international journal
of human resource management”. which is having some latest articles on different current issues
This articles are provided under Taylor and Francis Group which is registered in England and
Wales (The International Journal of Human Resource Management, 2018). With the help of this
Journal there are three articles which has been chosen for Human resource management topic
and have taken different issues that these articles have discussed.
Article 1: The relationship between free time activities, emotional intelligence and job
involvement of front-line hotel employees
Quantitative approach to research
Aim : Major aim of this article is to demonstrate overall free time activities which
impacts upon emotional intelligence and job involvement (The relationship between free time
activities, emotional intelligence and job involvement of frontline hotel employees, 2018). Chien
Mu Yeh, who is the writer of the article wanted to look into this issue and to gain appropriate
knowledge as well.
Objective: this article is having one objective which is mentioned beneath: To demonstrate impact of free time activities over job involvement and emotional
intelligence.
Question: on the basis of chosen topic, it is being analysed that using this article for
quantitative approach for conducting investigation properly. Investigator have mainly taken this
topic because free time (into hours) can be calculated to analyse overall time which is attached to
both emotional intelligence and job involvement. It is being found that employees tries to spend
