The disciple dedicated towards constructing, analyzing and development of business
operations is known as Business management (Arli, Bauer and Palmatier 2018). The purpose
of the paper is to discuss the pros and cons of utilizing online platform as a selling medium.
The issues identified from the case study regarding a traditional high-street music shop KGV
Europe are, lack of innovative strategies, lacks technological implication and increasing
competition in both tradition and e-commerce sites. The paper tends to argue about the
application of including online platform as a selling medium for the company KGV Europe.
First, the recommendation of selling products online reflect the potentiality of addressing the
identified issues of the company, KGV Europe. I believe that online presence can be
significantly beneficial for the company. Online presence can address the issues like, lack of
technological implication, lack of innovative strategies and sole dependence on traditional
medium in the presence of increasing online and offline competition. Online promotion and
selling can enhance the reach of the company, both locally and globally. The strategy of
selecting online platform for selling the product offerings can facilitate the strategy of
internalization without complex set up cost and infrastructure (Aoun and Vicente 2016).
Online selling can enable the factor of scale-ability, which will reflect a comprehensive
picture of strategy and tool effectiveness. The determination of success factors of the offered
product and service can be measured with the factor of scalability.
Second, incorporating the strategy of selling online is decreasing running cost. The operating
or running cost of selling through online medium will decrease, as the online platform will
not require the establishment of physical infrastructure and complex process. I believe that
online selling strategy will increase the factor of flexibility in terms of global expansion and
targeting desired rate of customer base. The cost association with the establishment of offline
