INTRODUCTION
Business management is the practices of managing operational activities such as managing,
leading, reporting, coordinating and planning (Chaffey, Hemphill and Edmundson-Bird, 2019). It
is very essential for manage to handle it and it further help the managers to perform their task
accordingly or made strategic decisions. In this context, managers have several responsibilities
regarding administrative task, marketing, sales, finance etc. Effective management of business
and its operational activities helps in achieving organizational goals & objectives which further
helps in maximising operational productivity and performances. This assessment based on the
previous work of project management where it highlight that how Kaffeine coffee shop grow
their business through introducing range of coffee flavors increase productivity and operational
efficiencies. This project evaluation report (EOP) covers the several topics such as objectives of
the project, benefits, scope, timescale, budget etc. In addition, it includes the success and
improvement area of this project along with any recommendation which is used for future
projects.
MAIN BODY
1. Outline the objective of the project and indicate that, they were achieved or not
Key objectives of Kaffeine coffee shop are to maximize the production as well as
performance through introducing range of coffee flavors to increase their customer demand and
profitability. Another objective of Kaffeine coffee shop is to develop luxury coffee shop with
trained staff members who helps in maximizing the financial performance through taking fast
and effective business decisions that will be based on the technology which provide accurate
results and high chances of success.
The objective of introducing range of coffee flavor in the coffee shop is to offer adequate
customer service so as not to interrupt customer experience. With the help of trained staff
members, organization is able to satisfy their guest or client through providing effective
customer services. Furthermore, another key justification for implementing this initiative is to
boost the financial results in such a manner that maximize overall profitability and it also aims to
increase a business' efficiency level which in turn contributes to an improvement in a business
performance. In this changing age, consumers require good corporate attention and service, that's

why Kaffeine coffee is focused on providing coffee options to the consumers and attract buyers
while having that in mind.
Implementation of this project successfully achieved because Kaffeine coffee shop
introduce new flavors which attract many customers which further helps in improving their
productivity, performance, financial results or improve customer’s experience. With the help of
trained staff members, project manager able to successfully complete this project or achieved
their project goals & objectives.
2. Outline the benefits that have been achieved
It's about attracting and retaining the correct bunch of groups to take the menu to life,
talking with customers and making the awesome coffee that will have people queuing up outside
the coffee shop. Yes, it's nice to have the trained staff members in their coffee shop who has
relevant skills and they know that how to reach the running track, but they can't even beat the
own preparation yet. In house staff training refines methods, familiarizes the staff with espresso
tools and, most significantly, assures that skilled staff members help in increasing operational
efficiency. It's like this, if Kaffeine Coffee shop want to be recognized for quality coffee, they'll
have to make confident that any coffee that's poured will reliably hit the right notes and they
should offer several options in the range of Coffee and these things are possible when they
provide required training to their staff members.
Training means Coffee shop can develop a good reputation for the café and run smoothly
in the market. A daily training plan is a perfect way to make sure that it includes all facets of café
life. More short lessons, including Peaberrys Espresso Basics, improve more than just the skills
of the employees. Loyalty always gets a boost; preparation is a validated resource to hold the
staff up for the shifts, that is to say, they feel respected. Managers should follow some training
tips which helps in improving overall efficiency as well as effectiveness such as, training should
be short, sweet and related to the practice work. Focus on improving individual skills and
regularly monitor and control the performance. Benefit of this project is to introduce more coffee
flavour options which help in attracting more customers which leads to maximise the demand.
3. Did project stay within original scope, project’s timescale, budget and tolerance
Project scope is the part of project planning where project manager develop several
strategies to accomplish this project within given time period (Myers, 2019). In the project scope
of introduction of more coffee flavour in the shop and provide training to the staff members to

improve operational efficiency as well as effectiveness. It also includes the project objectives,
milestones, outcomes, cost, timeline and the budget. This project includes the several activities
which contains project life cycle from initiation to the closure process. Project manager of
Kaffeine Coffee shop start this project from 28th of July 2020 and make sure to end this work on
1st of October 2020. This project include the several activities such as initiation task will take 12
days which includes the identification of key purpose, examine the purpose, goals & objectives,
development of team, identification of different roles & responsibilities and further assigned
such tasks to the employees who are capable of doing this. Planning activity will take 18 days to
perform their sub tasks such as determination of project requirement, formulation of budget,
charter preparation or identify critical success factors.
Basically project is not completed within its timeframe which is a bigger failure for the
company and further they should focus on the budget or make sure that expenses should not
exceed the projected budgeted value. On the other side, total budget of this project is £ 18,700
which includes the several activities which are essential to done to achieve project goals &
objectives (North and Kumta, 2018). Project manager need to evaluate their team members and
provide them essential trainings so they can perform their task within time as well as projected
cost. Everything of this project will be according to the plan but time period of each task slip
because of unrealistic deadline which are unable to meet by the project team members.
4. Explain the changes which made up for the completion of project
There are some changes required which helps in completing project successfully or achieve
the goals & objectives. One of the main changes which required in this project is to cope up with
their team members or make sure build coordination among them. It will helps in performing
task perfectly and they all are able to understand each other or focus on common goals which
they all have to achieve. Coordination or team members required improvement and it will only
enhanced by the project manager through providing several trainings and programs.
Another change which is required to make up for the project completion is making a team
of skilled people who have ability to perform such task or understand the importance of this
project. Most of the staff members of Kaffeine Coffee shop are face the issues regarding lack of
skills, they don’t know that how to perform or use newly advanced coffee machine (Nuthall,
2018). Because of this issue, staff members will take more time to complete each activity and
further expand the deadline of project. Unrealistic deadline affect the success of project and it

can cause the failure of project. Project manager should set their task deadline after evaluating
their employee’s efficiency or effectiveness. Most of the people unable to deal with new
technology or different types of coffee machine and it were the only reason that company unable
to complete their task on given deadline which become challenging for them.
One more change required implementing in coffee shop with range of flavors or staff
training in this project and that is miscommunication among the project team members.
Communication skill is among the most essential factors that are helpful in conducting certain
tasks with the greatest degree of consistency and performance. Bad communication will hinder
the project from achieving the common objectives.
In addition, project manager should provide some advanced level training before starting
the project and make sure that each and every member of this project need to be skilled and
technically viable so they can understand its output effectively. Managers need to conduct proper
training program which helps in improving communication skill, teamwork, and technical skills
such as problem solving, critical thinking and how to operate coffee shop equipments frequently.
5. Summarise the learning’s of this project and provide recommendations to improve the future
projects
While performing this project, there are several things which an individual learn along with
me such as how to work with large number of people who have common goal to achieve. This
project includes several challenges which discussed above and i will make sure that in future
project these mistakes not repeated (Rikhardsson and Yigitbasioglu, 2018). Next time, when i
have to formulate a team for particular task then it will make sure that which type of skills and
capabilities required in this project for its success. This project helps me to learn several skills
which are not only beneficial in professional life but also helpful in my personal life as well. As
a project manager of this project, i learned that how to manage or build coordination among
different types of people, how to resolve issues in the workplace, resolve conflicts among the
team members, build effective communication or improve critical thinking or problems solving
skills as well.
There are some recommendations which project manager need to understand and
implement in their organization while performing any project related to provide training to the
staff members and introduce range of coffee flavour options to increase their overall demand
among the customers. Some of them mentioned below:

Identify the social factors: The very first move to addressing the problem is recognizing
that it exists. Project manager should ensure that, implementing this project will not cause any
social issues. In order to minimise this risk, they need to measure customer’s preference
regarding the flavour of Coffee. New coffee options should be finalise after market research
which helps in increasing overall demand.
Educate and boost transparency: Demanding great belief in algorithms is a great way to
misleading information regarding artificial intelligence and misrepresents it. Using more
technology based activities helps in providing more transparency or minimise the errors (Santoro
And et.al., 2018). They have such a great deal of influence and it takes a lot of liability with it,
says the EIU. Increase staff training and new range of coffee helps in improving overall
performance and productivity.
Provide training to the team members regarding new AI: This includes dealing with
three techniques such professional training which will decreases in many countries but it should
be on higher priority. Maintaining the emphasis on STEM subjects (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics) and not ignoring the priority of civilizations whose interest will
rise as a result of the anticipated growth in demand for soft skills. All this is more important than
ever to have close coordination between learners, industry and policymakers in the view of the
continuing transformation of the intercultural understanding. Whenever any organization
introduce new technology in the organization, initially they need to provide proper training to
their staff members, so they can achieve the operational goals & objectives.
Regulation and improving the treatment of data: One of the important aspects for the
21st century would be the utilization of data. This allows for the establishment of new laws
requiring the correct use of cumulative personal information in response to existing safety and
privacy concerns. Such laws do not prohibit data from travelling across state boundaries. For this
project also, managers required several data to make effective strategies.
Improve communication and coordination: The study mentions several differences find
because pf lack of communication but the largest one is undoubtedly between technological
specialists in the business and government leaders (Tsyganov, 2019). Effective government
policy may reduce the negative consequences while restricting the positive stuff, the report found
on the labour market for example. Miscommunication affects the work as well as become the
reason of project failure. In addition, project manager should focus on maintaining coordination

6. Identify the risk which earlier evaluated in this project
There are several types of risk identified in this project which is related to the staff training
and introducing more options regarding coffee flavour. These risks can affect the entire project,
so managers need to mitigate it before this affect the project performance. Financial risk,
operational risk, technical risk, legal risk, resources and scheduling risk are identified in the
project. Financial risk affects the entire organization because lack of fund unable the
organization or project manager to perform their task, operational risk include the
implementation issue which negatively affect the operational outputs. Lack of staff training will
impact the overall results as well as prolong the project that creates negative consumer
perception.
Failure to comply with laws and regulations may impact results and policy can even take
measures against the project leading to delay. Human resource based vulnerability includes
relocation and problems relating to staff (Willcocks, 2018). Like the absence of one job affects
the whole working day and delays the project. Poor scheduling has an immediate impact on the
project, and delays the entire work as well. It can be attributed to normal cause, measurement
error etc.
Above discussed risks affect the success of project which will further affect the Kaffeine
Coffee shop and its operational performance. In order to mitigate these issues, project manager
need to develop risk management plan and take appropriate changes which helps in performing
task effectively and make sure that each activity of this project should be completed on time or
within budget. Successful implementation of their strategies where they provide effective
training to their staff members which helps in improving their overall performance or maximize
production capacity or profit margin. It also helps in improving company’s financial
performance or allows managers to made effective decisions on the basis of technology.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it has been observed that management of business is very critical
factor because it affect the entire operational process and activities which required to done on
time otherwise it become the reason of business failures. While completing any project, project

manager need to improve their skills and have to be capable as per the requirement and further
entire that their team members also capable of that. In addition, project evaluation is essential
and further they should provide relevant training to minimise the problems which they currently
face. Some of the recommendations suggested to the project manager to improve their future
project quality.
