Business Operation and system is referred as a collection of the business
processes in order to attain the main goals of the organization in efficient way. It is wide
collection of the business processes that helps in delivering the effective objectives of
the firm. This report is based on the business operations of Cargills food city which is
the largest modern retailer in Sri Lanka. This study will present the effective business
operations of the company using soft system methodology which allows the proper
management of business activities as per the business process modelling. It will also
identify various issues and challenges involved with the introduction of hybrid facilities
within the organization.
Moreover, this study will provide different operation models of used by the firm in
order to sustain in this competitive market. Furthermore, it will help in creating a
complete understanding about costing solutions of the firm along with the appropriate
solution with its reasoning.
