CHAPTER: 1 INTRODUCTIONBackground of the study In the present time, every business entity requires an excellent and long term success in thebusiness. In the market, there is huge competition among the companies as everyone wants to getan excellent growth and stability. For attaining of this objective, they make several efforts anddesign various excellent strategies. Human resource plays a very crucial role in the businessenterprise and in the absence of them no venture can attain its determined objective. Employeesare most essential part of the company who gives their best contribution to attain the objective.They are those people who carry out the responsibility toward the company and attain the desiredoutcome for business (Jenter and Kanaan, 2015). In the absence of personal, business activitiesand functions cannot be carried out in the venture. Thus, it can be said that the entire success andgrowth of the company is largely depending upon the employees and their performance. Theyare a very important asset for the organization which is used for the attainment of a businessgoal. In order to compete with the rival and develop own competitive advantage, manycompanies train its employees so as their skills and quality of work can improve. In addition tothis, a company always recruit and select t personnel who have excellent quality and talent whichsuitable for business process and function. If employees have lack of quality and skill than itsdirect impact on the business performance (Ledford, Benson, and Lawler, 2016). If humanresource's quality and skills are lacked then they cannot able to attain the determined objectivewithin a time period. Thus, it can be said that it is very important for an organization to selectand recruit those employees who have excellent knowledge and quality about the businessactivities and work. With help of high skills and knowledge, personnel can gain the outstandingoutcome for the company. In addition to this, skilled labour can influence to the company in anegative manner. In thepresent time, hotel sector is one of the sectors which developed its business. In this mentionedsector each and every activity largely depends upon the employees and labours. about the skilled labour in this manner, Forest view hotel has been selected to identify the impactof skilled employees in the business performance. It is a small and medium private hotel which issituated in the Rishikesh in India. It is foothills of Himalayas in the international yoga capital inthe world. The forest view hotel is one of the most accessible hotels in the Rishikesh along with12 spacious and comfortable rooms. This hotel offers chic and lavish accommodation facilities toits customers. In the India, there are various other historical tourist destinations which are famousfor their beauty and history like Rajasthan, world heritage sites, Shimla, Manali, HimachalPradesh, Jammu, and Kashmir, Auli Nainital etc. These all regions are famous in the India due toits beauty. India is a country which full of the regions so there are various cities and states whichis famous for its destination of tourism. In these all region, Rishikesh is one of the famous touristplaces where every year millions of people come for spending their holiday.It has the mainobjective is to deliver the outstanding services to its customers and gain the large customerattraction. It has included various services and facilities like restaurant, accommodation, banquethall etc. In the present dissertation, an importance of skilled labour in the forest view hotel hasbeen systematically addressed.
