Part b:
Areas Suggestions Impact
Order
confirmation
Implementation of website and ERP in
the organisation for sending the order
confirmation by the salesforce to the
sales administration team. This
improvement would eliminate the use of
the fax orders.
The company could gain the
benefits of implementation
of ERP and website with the
automation of the order
confirmation process and the
order management. The
website would help in taking
and managing the orders
easily. The challenges that
could emerge with the
implementation of the
website and ERP are the
security challenges that
could lead to the loss of
data.
Warehouse
management
Automation of the warehouse of the
company would allow the swift
completion of the order fulfilment and
increase the speed of order completion.
The order fulfilment from
the warehouses would be
significantly improved and
then providing the orders to
the clients could be
improved. The challenges
that are faced by the
automation of warehouses is
the lack of knowledge of the
employees to work in
modified machineries.
Order delivery The implementation of the proper
delivery mechanisms in the business of
the organisation would help in delivering
the products to the clients in minimal
time to increase the revenue of the
company.
With the implementation of
delivery mechanisms, the
delivery of the products
could be improved that
would increase the customer
satisfaction.
Invoice
management
The invoice that is provided to the
clients after the business is complete
with the clients could be printed by the
clients and the implementation of the
information system would help in
management of the invoices with the
extensive security.
The hardcopy management
of the invoice could be risky
in the present times with the
businesses implementing the
automated service for the
improved invoice
management. With the
implementation of database
and the information system,
the clients could be provided
with the link for
downloading the invoice of
their respective orders. The
challenges that could
develop are the security

BUSINESS PROCESS MODELLING
Answer of question 3:
Part a: Importance of business process reengineering
The business process reengineering could be described as the radical redesigning of
the core business processes for achieving the extensive improvements in the productivity,
quality and the cycle times. Within business process reengineering, the companies initiate to
make the proper strategies for redesigning of the business processes and then the existing
processes are improved for delivering increased value to all the customers of the company
(Huang et al., 2015). The companies commonly adopt the new value system, which places the
increased focus on the customer requirements. The companies diminish the organisational
layers and then eliminate the activities that are significantly unproductive in the two crucial
areas. Initially, the functional organisations are redesigned into the cross functional teams.
Secondly, the technology is used for improving the decision making and the data
dissemination. The companies implement the process reengineering for the reduction of the
costs and the reduction of the cycle times. The business process reengineering helps in
reducing the costs as well as the cycle times by the elimination of the activities that are
considered as unproductive by the business and the employees who are tasked with
performing the tasks (Rinaldi, Montanari & Bottani, 2015). The reorganisation by the teams
helps in the decreasing the requirement for the management layers, increases the speed of the
information flow and the elimination of all the errors as well as the rework that are caused by
the multiple handoffs (Nohria, 2017). The business process reengineering helps in improving
the quality of the businesses. The quality is improved by the reduction of fragmentation of the
work and then establishing the clear ownership of the processes (Pattanayak & Roy, 2015).
The workers gain major responsibility for the output and could measure the performance on
the basis of the prompt feedback.

BUSINESS PROCESS MODELLING
Part B:
The methods that could be exploited for the business process reengineering are:
Project management: These particular tools are majorly utilised for the planning,
budgeting, scheduling, tracking and then reporting the projects. The integration of the project
management tools is done with the business processes for improving the business processes
of any organisation (Christin Jurisch et al., 2014). The main tool that is used for the
successful project management is the Microsoft Project. Some of benefits of this method are
the improvement of the chances of achieving the anticipated result, prioritise the resources of
the business and then ensure the efficient utilisation and improve the productivity and the
quality of work. The disadvantages of project management are huge costs, the increased
complexity and the communication overhead.
Business process analysis: This method is particularly used for executing the
systematic reduction of the business into the constituent parts as well as the examination of
all the interaction among the parts. Commonly, the similar tools that are used for the
modelling are utilised for the business process analysis (Eke & Achilike, 2014). The major
benefits of the business process analysis are the improvement of the acquisition of the
customers and the customer care, reduction of the unproductive rework and the improved
management. With the business process analysis, the accuracy of the data could be reduced
and the process map details could be significant difficult.
Modelling: This method are utilised for creating the model of any aspect for
understanding the working and the structure. Majority of the tools within this particular
category are the integrated computer aided Software engineering toolsets for the integrated
analysis, designing as well as the development of the computer systems (Hussein et al.,
2014). The major benefits of the modelling in the process reengineering are the aligning of

operations with the business strategy, improvement of the process communication, increased
control as well as consistency, improvement of the operational efficiencies and then gain
competitive advantage. The creation of the exact model for the process reengineering is
significantly difficult.
