INTRODUCTION
Business process management has become an imperative part to run new business process in an
organisation involves the management by lifting and organisations for performance through
quality management (Harmon, 2019). With the growing technology business process
management is gaining the prevalence the using the various approach to improve the
performance of the organisation including total quality management, business process
reengineering, six Sigma etc. Quality management is one of the core activity among the business
process that overseas different task within an organisation in order to make sure that the products
and services the organisation is offering to consumers along with their means of supply are
consistent in quality. It helps big organisations to maintain the significant level of quality within
their organisation. Hospitality industry aims to develop relationship with the guest which involve
quality in the hospitality industry should be maintained in a proper order to earn profitability and
prosperity (Queiroz and et. al., 2020). Present report is related to the quality management in one
of the largest and popular hotel of the hospitality industry of UK that is Premier inn, England,
UK. The company is developing a new innovative construction in a hotel business project with
ideal logistic support with the increasing trend of travelling. The case of premier inn hotel will
enhance the knowledge and understanding about the different approaches of quality management
that is required to improve the quality in the hospitality industry, significant steps regarding the
standard of quality service that must be implemented with the appropriate measurements in the
organisation.

Quality management is a process aims that the stakeholders of the organisation should work
collectively to improve the company's business processes product services order to achieve the
long-term success that will grow the roots for the customer satisfaction (Van Looy and Van den
Bergh, 2018). The quality management includes various approaches that organisation comprises
for the process improvement, product improvement and people based improvement.
Some of the approaches of quality management in context of Premier inn are discussed below:
Just In Time

The Just in time approach to quality management is inventory system that Premier Inn use as
a management strategy to align all the raw materials and their orders from the suppliers directly
to the production site. In this the organisation use such inventory strategy to increase their
efficiency by reducing the wastage by receiving the goods by receiving the goods only when
they are needed rather than storing them in the warehouse which reduce inventory cost and
smooth the production process. With the help of just in time approach of quality management
premium is able to efficiently manage their production as well as fulfil the expectations of the
consumers by providing them all the services on time. Company seek advantage from Just in
time approach as it reduces the cost of waste and also maintains the positive and constructive
cash flow (Aleksandrova, Vasiliev and Letuchev, 2018).
Six Sigma Method
Six Sigma quality management approach mostly used buy all the organisation including
Premier Inn to improve the current and upcoming processes and services of the organisation in
order to discover and mitigate the errors. The goal of Premier Inn to improvise the six Sigma
quality management approach and its organisation is to streamline the flow of new business
process developing in its manufacturing and other production life cycle so that there is no
variance throughout the process. The six Sigma approach provides the company strong tool to
improve the capabilities and quality of the business processes. Advantage of six Sigma approach
is it increase the performance and the crazy variations which helps in reducing the errors of the
mistake in the business process thereby improving the profits, employees’ morale and the quality
of service provided by the Premier Inn.
Kaizen
Kaizen approach of quality management is a lean manufacturing two that is used by
premier and to improve the quality, productivity and workplace culture. This approach of quality
management focus over applying the small all but effective daily life changes in the business
process thereby resulting in the major improvement over the time. The aim of kaizen approach in
the quality management is the continuous improvement in all the functions of the the
organisation whether it is a business process or it involves employees from top management to
assembly line (van Kemenade and Hardjono, 2019). By implementing the kaizen approach of
quality management in Premier run the company has strengthen the relationship with their
workers for the staff members as they are also involved in suggestions to improve the business
