Abstract
Information System (IS) is the need for managing the business processes of a firm.
In addition, Good City Council operates its car parks in a proper manner. Moreover,
the company wants to manage all the things using the new system. Besides, SFIA
framework helps in the skills development and IT management.
This report will discuss about issues and challenges of the company in its business
processes. It will discuss the role of IT systems in the management and controlling
of different processes. It will explain the competitive advantages of new system to
the company.

Introduction
Information Technology makes a huge impact on the designing of various
processes. Besides, there are various benefits of IT in business. The car parking
system can manage using information technology in a better way. The Good City
council operates seven car parks using their traditional system. The company has
provided better services to their customers. However, there are some issues in
issuing tickets and payment related issues. Therefore, the company can provide
new services to their customers using IT systems.
Moreover, the firm has provided many basic services to their clients. The company
must use IT systems to control and monitor their security systems and car parking
system. The company wants to fulfill its basic requirements, which ha based on the
day-to-day operation of each car park. The company requires a system that can
provide these services, which are issuing tickets, management of car parks,
handling payment, recording problems, controlling barriers, monitoring service level
agreements and many others to guard the car parks.
This report will provide issues and challenges of car parks in their current system. It
will discuss the framework to implement a new system for car parks. This report will
provide the competitive advantages of the IS for the company. This report will
discuss about the role of the framework in the implementation of new system for an
existing system.
Issues and challenges in car parks
There is an operational system to control the entry and exit of the cars. It is also
taking payment for the parking. In addition, the company has followed two types of
Payment methods for daily users and fixed users. The company has taken charge
according to the customers’ requirements. They can pay advance for the parking,
such as three, six, and twelve months. In addition, there are basic needs for the
payment system on the weekends. The company has bounded season tickets up to
10% of the spaces in a car park.
