INTRODUCTION
Business entity is highly influenced by external and internal environment within which it
mainly operates it’s functions. Both these environment have their influence on the overall
business operations of an entity. Therefore, it is said that both these factors need to be examined
by the business organisation so that they can reduce the negative impact of such elements. In the
present report, Marks and Spencer is chosen as the base organization which is a well known
retail business corporation. The company have its headquarters at the marketplace of UK where
they provide clothing, food and home products. The report includes different sections which are
the type, size as well as scope of the company and the interrelationship among various
departmental functions. Along with this, it consist of external & internal factors influence on the
functions of a business organisation. At last, the report includes impact of globalisation on the
overall organisational decisions & strategy.

Business environment consist of various sort of business functions performed by managers
on the basis of organisational size, type and scope. In the present context of Marks and Spencer
type, size as well as scope of the company are going to be discussed as follows:

Marks and Spencer is a Private company comes under private business organisation. The
company operates it’s business functions at global level. Along with this, Mark’s and Spencer
deals in high quality clothing and food products as well as home products within premium
pricing. They provide products to their customers in order to satisfy their needs and
requirements. The main aim of Marks and Spencer is to provide high quality product so that they
can maximise their profit margin.

as they deals at global market too. It has also been said that the product portfolio of the company
