INTRODUCTION
Business is an organisation that is engaged in various activities such as
commercial,industrial, and professional. It can be conduct for the profit or some charitable
mission or for the social cause. In this report the chosen organisation is Tesla which is founded in
the 2003 and headquarter in United State. In this report all functions of business that plays very
important role in success are covered and it is very important for the management to make
coordination between all activities for smooth functioning.
TASK
1 Roles of business functions
Business functions are referred all those activities that are carried by Tesla to accomplish
all decided goals and objectives within defined time period. It is divided into the core as well as
support functions of organisation(Ames,2019). There are various functions that plays important
role to carry business in right manner are discussed below:
Role of marketing- Marketing plays very important role to promote Tesla. It is basically
about the analysis of needs and wants of respective customers and promote buying and selling
activities of products and services. It includes advertisements, promotions, selling and deliver
products to customers and satisfy them with services.
Roles of finance- Finance function is referred to plan, design, organise and manage all
financial funds of organisation. Tesla have to decide their short term and long term finance
objectives(Mendling,2018). Finance is important to carry of organisational activities in smooth
manner within defined time period.
Roles of operation / production- Operation or production is relates activities to convert
input or raw materials into finished goods. Operation is consider as a heart Tesla that provides
quality and quantity goods and services to customers in order to satisfy their needs and
demands(Bashir, and Verma, 2019).
Roles of human resource- Effective human resource is very important for the success of
Tesla. Human resource department facilitate business by managing their valuable assets, their
employees in effective manner. It manages all employees with organisation, provide them proper
training regarding work and ensure their safety at workplace.
