INTRODUCTION A business is consist of many functional operations. Each functional division is important for the smooth running of the business.This assignment will help in understanding the interrelation between different divisions of the Tesco and their importance. Evaluate the importance of different business functions and show how they link together. There are many functional divisions in a Tesco. Each division is responsible for managing different set of roles and responsibilities (Tesco's marketing and its relationship with other business activities, 2017).Some of the business operations division are HR, Finance, Production, Marketing in Tesco are analysed in terms of making strategies and priorities for processess groups. The board corporates various communiies and investors analytical procedure for manaing the functions with creative plans and responsibilities. Corporate activities are also analysed with different perspectives. However, there interrelation can be understand by the following. Finance and HR in Tesco are the two different divisions of the company.The HR division helps in hiring a qualified and skilled candidate for the desired position in company. Hence, the HR department can help the finance team by appointment well experienced and skilled candidate which can help in increasing the productivity of the company (Marketing's Interaction with Other Functional Units: A Conceptual Framework and Empirical Evidence, 2018). Production department of Tesco is responsible for producing the products which are served by the organisation.Whereas, the Marketing department helps in promoting the products. Hence, the marketing division of a firm can help in promoting the products which are produced by the production department of the company in order to raise the total sales of the organisation. The finance division helps in providing sufficient funds in order to undertakeall the othe business operations of Tesco efficiently (Relationship Between Marketing Department and Other Departments in Making Marketing Decisions, 2018). Whereas, the research department helps in analysing and providing various data which can help in various business strategies and decision making. Therefore, the finance division can provide adequate finance to the research department in order to operate efficiently.This proves that all the functional departments work together in harmony in order to assure the smooth running of the business and maximise its profit. 3
There are many qualities which are required in order to work in an organisation in these functional divisions. For example, communication, leadership, decision making and many more qualities. Communication is a very important element which helps in conveying the message to the other members about their thoughts, plans and strategies.There is a specific order folloed in terms of communication of with in Tesco. Flow of information found from senior level to level level (Tesco's internal communication managmeent,2018).A well versed communication frame betweenthedepartmentsbytheindividualhelpsinsmoothrunningofoperationsand maximising the revenue. Decision making is the quality which is required in all the functional devisions of the business. This quality is required in order to take correct and quick decisions that needs to be taken at every level of the the operations in an organisation. CONCLUSION From the discussion above, it can be concluded that a business is consist of many different functional divisions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc. All the departments have different work profile. However, these departments are inter related to each other and they work together to attain maximum profit for the organisation.
