Section 1INTRODUCTIONThis is the business report which is based on the case study of Sun theatre as it is one ofthe famous theatres and also luxurious one operated in Yarravile and its mission is to give greatseating services, sound and style to the customers. It has also expanded in 8 different cinemas. Italso has managed to make sustainable profit and growth of the theatre. Further this report coversthe purpose of the report and also the limitation of Sun Theatre. It will also discuss theprocurement and also the various corporate social responsibility associated with Sun Theatre.Further it will include supply chain management and also the measures of selecting suppliers andalso the triple bottom line which include social, environment and economic implication ofhospitality procurement management and at last it will discuss the commodity group terminologyand also the definition and also the process used to reach to the customers.TASK 11.1 OrganisationalBackgroundSun Theatre was opened in 1938 as a single screen cinema as seating 1050. the theatrewas very famous and also one of the luxurious cinemas in the area and also attract manycustomers. The ticket counter was filled with a lot of customers as it was very famous in thatarea. One of the unique features was that it provides facility of pram in which the babies areplaced there. It was located in Melbourne, Australia in the inner -west suburb of Yarravile. Themission of sun theatre was its great seating, screens, sound and style. Sun has expanded itstheatre into 8 different cinemas. Also, it has many other features which make sun very different3
from other and also it was very famous for its grand name. And also, it provides coffee tablewhich was share betweentwo.1.2Purpose ofreportThe main purpose of the report is to procurement and sustainability of Sun Theatre andalso provide solid business recommendation based on their speciality and also recommend oneother protein menu based on sustainable business practices.1.3 LimitationThe one of the foremost limitation of Sun theatre is that it serve very general services orproducts which are very common and its competitor also provide all the prove such as popcorn,chocolate, ice cream, crisps, soft drinks, water etc. as they all are very general and every theatreserve this kind of services as there is no unique in its services. As it doesn't have effectiveservices that it attracts many of the customers and audiences. Also, the second limitation is that itshould work on its ambience as the ambience of the theatre is not so good so this factor alsohinders the growth of the Sun theatre. And also, it has to take several measures to attract thecustomers and also include many items in its menu that its competitor does not sale.TASK 22.1 ProcurementProcurement is basically an action of obtaining something. As there is a limitation of Suntheatre is that it provides very general products such as soft drink, ice cream, popcorn, water etc.as there is no uniqueness in the product and services which are provided by the Sun theatre. So,the organisation is planning to add uniqueness in its menu such as chicken and chocolate. As it isimportant to select the quality of the product and also it is important to select the correct supplieras it is based on quality and time delivery basis.Italso need study of the chocolate as whichflavour is most like by the audience and also it needs to identify the people who prefer non veg.It will add effectiveness and efficiency in the menu of the Suntheatre.2.2 Corporate SocialresponsibilityThere are many corporate social responsibilities that are perform by the Sun theatre as itis also indulge in the food industry as it serves food products to its customers.Itfirst andforemost responsibility is that its food practices as its responsibility to serve the people safe,great quality of the food in a responsible way (Unit, 2015).
