1. The process that would be required to establish business requirements
The process for the establishment of business needs applies to the analysis and
documentation of project related activities in a business environment. The process involves a
step by step procedures to discovering, analyzing and documenting critical needs that are related
to the business project.
The first step of the process is to know the business stakeholders. This stage is essential
in the sense that it helps to find sponsors who may have the authority to change decisions (Aier,
& Winter, 2009). The views and needs of the sponsors have a strong influence at this stage. The
second step involves knowing the stakeholder's requirements. This stage may involve holding a
meeting with the business stakeholders to discuss the business requirements. After the
requirements are found, they are classified into various categories in terms of how they identify
with the functions and components of the end users expectations, the operational activities that
should be done as well as the requirements which identity with the technical needs that are
essential for smooth functionalities of a business (Alexandrova, 2018). The requirements are then
analyzed and documented for the business operations.
2. How to solve conflicting business requirements
For the conflicting business requirements to be properly resolved, the first thing to find
out is the root cause of the problem. There are multiple causes and how they are dealt with. One
of the numerous causes being a misunderstanding by one or more business stakeholders on the
higher level divisional or company goals that drive their specific needs which may lead to a push
of system requirements that is out of the scope of business requirements.

The next step after identifying the conflict is to find out the nature of the conflict (Ward,
2016). There are a few types of common conflicts that are closely related to their causes. Some
of which include data conflict, interest conflict, conflict of value, relationship conflict and
structural conflict. After the nature of the conflict is identified, the next step is conflict
resolution. This is a critical stage in resolving conflicts in the sense that it has a significant
influence on the willingness of the individuals which are involved to continue working together.
It is this step that determines the continued operation of a business. When the conflict is resolved
in a manner that satisfies all parties involved, it can lead to a positive effect on the business and
its stakeholders' relationship. It is therefore essential to handle conflict resolution effectively.
3. Case study
A real estate organization needs to upgrade their IT infrastructure. The organization
currently has 6 computers and uses a medium speed internet which affects their performance.
The agency needs a software that enables automatic update of details in their website and the
Australian and International Real Estate portals. The organization also wants to install 12 more
computers, intranet as well as the internet service provider for a higher speed of internet access
to satisfy the ever-growing business requirements.

case study
The real estate organization has a few requirements to facilitate its operations. One of the
requirements being a software for updating the agency system as well as the real estate’s portal.
