Research methodology refers to a specific techniques and procedures used by the
researcher in order to identify, process, select as well as analyse information about a topic. This
will allow the reader in order to critically evaluate about the overall reliability and validity
(Daniel, 2018). There are two types of research methodology which includes quantitative and
qualitative research methodology. The research onion illustrates the different stages that are
required to be covered while developing the research strategy for the research. This provides an
effective progression which help in designing the research methodology for a research. In case of
following conducted report, qualitative research methodology in order to conduct the research
for the topic of to evaluate the strategies and impact of leadership on the management and

scientifically sound findings. It also provides more detailed plan which helps researcher to keep
on track as well as make the research process smother effective and manageable The research
methodology are different from research methods as research methods are tools which helps
researcher in order to collect the data in well manner. This will as considered as most important
part of the research which helps which covers all those parts which have been used in this
research with their reason which helps readers to easily understand the nature of research. It is
important for the researcher to use effective methods for their research in order to attain the
objectives of the research in better manner within a set period of time. It involves many things
which include research philosophy, approaches, choices, design and so on in order to help
researcher to conduct their research for the specific topic (Ratnam, 2019). The research
methodology is available in two forms which includes quantitative and qualitative research
methodology. Quantitative research methodology is used to create numerical statistics by using
survey research for the collection of data and information about the topic. On the other hand,
qualitative research methodology which helps in examining about the behaviors, experiences as
well as opinions of individuals with the help of examinations methods. In case of following
conducted research, secondary research is applied with the help of qualitative research
methodology in order to gain in-depth and non-statistical information and data from the
secondary sources such as newspapers, magazines, internet searches and many. This will help
research to obtain, collect and analyses in-depth information about the strategies and impact of
leadership on the management and organizational behavior for improving employee productivity
in pharmaceutical sector of Australia. In the following research, researcher used research onion
in order to create organized research methodology for their research topic of of to evaluate the

qualitative data for the research aim and objectives and these are described below:

Research philosophy – It describes as collection of different principle that concerned
with the stance and worldwide view as per the conducted research. The research philosophy is
usually studied in the form of ontology and epistemology. Ontology described as authenticity of
the information along with how an individual understand about its existence whereas
epistemology described as valid information that is required in the research as well as how an
individual can obtain it. In research methodology, research methodology is classified in two
categories which are defined as positivism and interpretivism (Hennink and Kaiser, 2020).
Positivism research philosophy is used to collect and analyze the numerical data whereas
interpretivism research philosophy is used to obtain and analyze in-depth and non- statistical
information about the data. In case of present conducted research, the researcher used
interpretivism research philosophy as it helps in gaining in-depth information about the research.
The reason for the using this research philosophy is to gain accurate and reliable data and
information about the research. This research philosophy is cost effective which helps in saving
money for the researcher while conducting research for the topic of of to evaluate the strategies
and impact of leadership on the management and organizational behavior for improving
employee productivity in pharmaceutical sector of Australia.
Research approach- It described as plans and process which includes different steps of
assumptions in order to detailed methods of data collections, data analysis and interpretivism.
This makes important for the researcher in order to select best research approach which helps in
gathering and analyzing the information and data about the research topic. The research
approaches are available in two categories which include inductive and deductive research
approaches. Inductive research approach refers to a systematic procedure in order to analyze the

research method is considered as driving force that allows creativity while conducting the

interview and survey which helps in gaining correct and real time data. On the other hand,
secondary data is collected from the opinion or work of other researchers. In case of following
conducted research, the researcher selects secondary data collection method as it helps in gaining
data from the opinion of other persons with the help of survey in order to complete the research
in better manner (Hays and McKibben, 2021). The main benefit of using this data collection
method is it provides easy access in order to collect the data for the research. This will helps
researcher to collect data in low cost or free in less time in order to effectively meet the aim and
objectives of the research in well manner. It allows researcher in order to generate new insight in
order to conduct the research for the specific data in well manner. Secondary data research can
be conducted by those people who are not familiar with the help of different collection methods.
This refers to as richest kind of data that are available for the researcher in a wide variety sources
and topics. This will also allow researcher in order to perform the longitudinal analysis which
means the studies are performed spanning from a large period of time. This will helps researcher
in order to determine different types of trends which helps in completing the research in better
manner.
Data Analysis- This will helps researcher to answer the research questions in which helps
researcher to conduct the research in better manner, in research methodology. Data analysis is
available in many forms such as thematic, frequency distribution and many more. In case of
following conducted research, the researcher used thematic data analysis in order to analyze and
explore in-depth or non-statistical information in well manner in order to meet the aims and
objectives of the research in well manner. It helps researcher to analyze the large information in
easy manner. It allows researcher to work in a team while conducting research by using thematic

data analysis. This refers to most easy and quick method in order to learn and conduct the
research for the topic of of to evaluate the strategies and impact of leadership on the management
and organizational behavior for improving employee productivity in pharmaceutical sector of
Australia (Köhler, Smith and Bhakoo, 2022). This will also help in researcher in order to answer
their research questions; this will help in providing deeper understanding about the topic as it
involved personal experience of the researcher in the research in order to conduct the research in
better manner.
Sampling- It described as the technique or the ways in which the appropriate sample size of
the research is selected from the widen study. The sampling is classified in two categories which
includes probability and non-probability. The probability sampling involves random selection
which allows researcher in order to make strong statistical inferences for the whole group. On the
other hand non-probability sampling involves non-random selection which is based on
convenience or other criteria as it allows researcher to collect the data in easy manner. In case of
following conducted research, the researcher selects non-probability sampling which allows
researcher to select samples as per their subjective judgment in order to attain the aim and
objectives of research in well manner (Fischer and Guzel, 2022). This method of sampling is
very cost effective and time effective in comparison to probability sampling which helps
researcher to conduct the research in less time and cost. It is also to make easier for the
researcher to use it when it is impossible to conduct the probability sampling.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it has been concluded that research methodology plays an
important part in a research as it provide a way which explain how the research can conduct their
research in well manner. Research onion is an effective framework which helps in designing the
research for the particular topic which help researcher in order to achieve the research aims and
objectives. The research methodology involves various parts such as research philosophy,
approaches, strategy, choice, data collection and many more. Interpretivism research philosophy
is used in this research which helps research to collect and analyze non-statistical information
related to the research topic. Inductive research approach is used in this for obtaining in-depth
information about the research. In this research survey strategy is used which helps in collecting
the information by taking opinion of other people related to the topic. Qualitative research
method is used in this research which helps in collecting in-depth information about the research
topic. Cross-sectional time horizon is used in order to complete the research in smaller time. In
this research data is collected through secondary method in which information about the topic is
taken according to the other researcher opinion. In this research, thematic data analysis which
helps is obtaining in-depth or non-statistical information about the research. In this research,
non-probability research sampling is used which helps in conducting the research in less time
and low cost.
