Evaluation of effectiveness and my usefulness of learning experience
Opinion regarding learning experience
The study helped to assess various aspects of training and development in organisational and
individual perspectives. It used human capital theory to underpin the various aspects of training
and development operations of the company. This has helped to me enhance my knowledge
regarding several training and development theory. The study also facilitated to conduct critical
analysis. This critical assessment facilitated to assess the training and development strategies in
various perspective (Kolb, 2014). Thus, the study provided effective scope for learning and
development.
Value of the learning experience
In professional career, it is required to make effective judgement for any situation. Thus,
developing a skill of critical analysis will help to conduct effective judgement of the situation.
Apart from that, in organisational context, when it will be required to train other teammates in
the team, effective knowledge of training and development activities will facilitate to impart
training among the employees. According to Savery (2015), it is noted that this will help to excel
in the workplace. Thus, this experience is highly valuable for processional development.

This learning experience will serve towards enhancing various aspects of personal development
(Harvey and Allard, 2015). The aspects in which it will be effectively useful have been discussed
as below.
Course: As learning and development of the business helps to understand the teaching materials
effectively, this study will help to understand the study material of higher-level courses. Thus, it
will support to enhance my academic career effectively.

this study, various journals and models have been evaluated, which will help me to excel in the
examinations. This way it will add value towards conducting a successful overall program.

The above discussion identifies that developing effective skills and technical knowledge will
facilitate to develop better insights in the business operations and situational judgements. This
will enhance the decision-making skills. Thus, in future while working in a company or making
personal choices positive outcome from every aspect can be expected. Further, in accordance to
Clarke and Higgs (2016), it can be stated that this will facilitate to become successful in all the
aspects of life.
Objectively in the learning process
In the learning process, I have come across the information that when a company provides
training and development support, 40% employees leave the organisation on an average. Since
they anticipate that major restructuring will take place in the organisation and the company will
retrench its operations. However, it was also identified that 12% employees leave when the
company provides unpaid training. Thus, I have identified that training reduces job satisfaction
of employees.
Identifying this information I asked my peers to identify what is their feedback on that. Most of
them replied in favour of this information. By, I conducted a self-evaluation and I found out it is
not the training and development activity which reduces the motivation level of employees.
However, it is the overall operations and image of the organisation, which promote the fear
among the employees of losing their job.

Future Career: In order to develop future career, it will be required to make an effective
judgement of the situation. In order to achieve this, an effective training will be provided to other

research in future. A clear understanding and analysis of all these aspects will help me to

This study was conducted to analyse various aspects of learning and development in
organisational and personal activities. Since, learning and development is a lifelong process and
it is an integral part of the development of individual, this promoted me to do the activity one
and activity two. Apart from that, to sustain competitive advantage, every organisation conducts
training and development activities (Frost, 2016). In this way, enhancing knowledge and
expertise in this segment of study will facilitate to perform better in organisation and invest in
better activities.

How might this learning apply in your future?
As training and business research have become an integral part of various business operations,
conducting this business research will facilitate to effectively perform in the organisational
context. However, as topic of training and development has been chosen for this research project,
it will facilitate to develop better technical knowledge in human resource development. Thus, it
is expected that I will be able to excel in the course and project. As stated by Osburn, Hatcher
and Zongrone (2015), the high score achieved in the course will also facilitate to develop better
insights about my occupational role and job in future.
