INTRODUCTION
Human resource department is an important department in the organisation as it is
responsible for managing human resource, looking at the aspects of employment, standards and
law for employees, benefits for employees and many more. Human resource department plays an
important role in decreasing the rate of employee turnover. In this particular research report
issues faced by human resource department due to high employment turnover is involved and for
this the chosen organisation is Boots UK Ltd.
Section 1: Comparing two research methodologies
1.1 Research problem
The problem of the current research is issues faced by human resource department
because of the high employee turnover at workplace. High employee turnover becomes barrier in
the smooth functioning of companies as it reduces their productivity and creates chaos in the
environment of workplace. Employees decide to leave organisation because they are not satisfied
with company's working as they feel they are not being valued so they make decision to leave
company.
Research Question
With this specific research, researcher aims towards studying this specific question:
“What are the problems faced by human resource department due to high employee turnover at
workplace in Boots UK Limited?” By this researcher determines the issues that are faced by
department of human resource because of high employee turnover.
1.2 Selected key readings
Human resource department faces so many problems and issues because of high
employee turnover in the workplace of Boots UK Ltd. Human resource is the department which
is responsible for attracting employees in the organisation and they have the responsibility to
satisfy customers in the organisation so that large number of employees can be retained in the
company and assist in fulfilling the objectives of a company. High rate of employee turnover is
bad for a company as well as human resource department.

From the above mentioned literature map, it has been interpreted that high employee
turnover is a major problem faced by human resource of an organisation. There are different
causes and impact of high employee turnover on human resource that are time consuming, higher
cost for recruiting new candidates etc. These are major impacts that negatively impact on the
performance of human resource. For overcoming the issue of high employee turnover, there are
some ways used by HR. These are focuses on hiring employees with right qualification, provides
flexible working schedules, organises training and development and encourage and motivate
employees. There are different advantages of experienced by employees by mitigating the issue
of high employee turnover at workplace. These are improved business performance, increase
