social environment and environmental goals into business operations. The potential role of CSR
mainly involves assisting control cost, improving organisational brand image, attracting top
quality talent and facilitate long term financial success. Corporate social responsibility helps the
business in increasing the competitiveness of the business via enhancing the sales and revenue of
the business. For better understanding about the subject John Lewis is select because it is a large
multinational corporate and has its major concern over increasing the competitiveness of the
business to gain growth and success. John Lewis and Partners is a brand of high-end department
stores which is operating throughout Great Britain, with concessions it is also located in the
republic of Ireland and Australia. The headquarter of the firm is in London United Kingdom. The
company was funded in the year of 1864 by the potential efforts of John Lewis. The estimates
revenue of the firm in the year of 2017 is around 3.78 billion which showcase its effective
position in the market. The company is conducting effective CSR practices which helps the
business in improvising its brand image and increasing the operations at wider level. The
company is operating through its 42 stored including Swindon Home Outlet. The primary
obligation of the business is to increasing the brand image of the business through the support of
implementing CSR practices in their operations.
