number of efforts towards work related activities (Khuong and Linh, 2020).On the other side, job
satisfaction is said to be something which carries both direct and indirect impact over achieving
different range of goals and objectives that an organisation is looking forward to achieve. If it is
talked about Tesco PLC then it is considered to be one of the famous and largest retailer of
United Kingdom which is dealing at international market and offering customers with different
range of products and services based on their needs and requirements. Basically, this
organisation is also dealing withample number low job satisfaction issue which is faced by its
staff members and company is looking forward to motivate them so that job satisfaction may
improve. In order to do so, Tesco PLC would require to keep on making alterations in their
training sessions, bonus policy, conservation policies and so on in order to deliver the best
motivation to staff members so that satisfaction level of them can easily be improvised.
Background
Over the years, it has been analysed that staff members of every single organisation
specifically goes through a range of difficulties which decreases or reduces the job satisfaction
level. Managing work based life is considered to be a crucial problem which increases the risk of
reducing job satisfaction level at the workplace and the reason can be anything like less
compensation or bonus given by company then expectations of the employees and so on. It is
pretty much needed by the HR department of an organisation like Tesco PLC to keep their focus
on basic requirements of their staff members so that they can stay motivated while performing
different range of tasks. It is also needed for Tesco or any other National or International
organization to enhance the satisfaction level through developing different range of plans and
policies. Extra perks given to staff members can be considered as one of the beneficial and
effective way of enhancing the satisfaction level, which may also impact positively on their
performance level as they are getting fulfilled by the company in which they are performing
(Andani and Ardana, 2020).

this investigation on the chosen topic that is “To investigate about the effect of employee
motivation on job satisfaction level of TESCO’s workforce.” Another reason behind conducting
investigation on the chosen topic is that most of the researchers in the past has analysed the
perceptions of staff members but none of them has effectively analysed how motivation level
may impact over satisfaction level of job. In order to analyse the chosen subject, this
investigation has been performed to analyse the ways through which motivation level can be
improved of staff members which will be directly impacting positively over job satisfaction
level. on the other side, it is pretty much needed for an organisation Tesco PLC to keep on
bringing changes when in the existing policies of compensation and Perk related plans and
procedures because it is may be possible that it will help staff members of the company to

sustain within the form and perform well in much effective and in efficient manner (Daulay, Raja
and Gultom, 2020).

organization's objectives. Without an inspired working environment, TESCO PLC could be put
in a hazardous position. staff members who are already motivated towards their work can prompt

market in which it is performing and also it may help company in enhancing the overall market
with the help of motivated staff. Envision having a staff member who isn't persuaded and they

interpretivisim and positivism. In interpretivism, small sample are utilised as well as deep
research are performed from that sample. Whereas in positivism, large sample is

accurate conclusions. But this is so much time taking. In other side, secondary
information referred as data which is already available through several source like
articles, books, and others. This is so much time taking method but it fails to accumulate
up to date information. Therefore, for performing respective research, investigator uses
both the methods for data collection.
 Sampling: This is considered as vital components into research methodology as this
assists in undertaking the number of participants according to the requirements of topic.
Mainly there are two kinds of sampling method probability as well as non probability
methods. Both are important kinds of sampling that aids researcher to select number of
respondents among overall population. Therefore, for respective research probability
sampling is used like random sampling will be utilised as this is not very much time
consuming as well as do not required more capital and resources. Also, in this 50
respondents are chosen.
 Time horizon: It is define as the time needed for the accomplishment of research. Thi sis
basically of two kinds such as longitudinal and cross sectional. Longitudinal is regarded
as gathering of data repeatedly upon extended duration and is applied in which vital
aspects for investigation in determined as time changes. Whereas cross sectional is used

in which investigator is concern about particular topic study at specific period. Also, it is
used to compare numerous population groups at single point of time. Therefore, for
respective research cross sectional are applied as this aids researcher to compare various
results at singular period.
DISCUSSION
Employee motivation is considered as the level of commitment, creativity and energy which
firm staffs apply to its jobs. The employee motivation as well as job satisfaction can be enhanced
through various techniques such as through providing them monetary incentive, promotion,
empowerment and many more (Ihsani and Wijayanto, 2020). There are various benefits that
TESCO attained through applying various motivational techniques some of the benefits are
increasing the level of efficiency, profitability, managing a cooperative working environment,
maintaining the reputation as well as Goodwill of the firm, improving the public image into
marketplace and many others. Along with this, the motivation also enhances the job satisfaction
level in effective and efficient way.
Limitations
There are various limitations that have been facing during the implementation period of
research. So, one of the key problems is the lack of time as in order to accomplish respective
research in accurate manner, the researcher needs time (Perna, 2020). Moreover, there are
several more limitations which is faced through investigator such as in appropriate response of
respondents, shortage of funds.
