Business Responsibility and Sustainability
Introduction
Corporate Social responsibility has been one of the majorly discussed topics in the world
today. Despite the increase in globalization and industrialization, sustainability programs are one
of the key issues that have raised concerns especially in areas such as environmental and
community care. In the approach of creating continuous development in the community,
organizations and businesses have a very vital role to play in the decrease and elimination of
some of the major challenges in the society.
Why it is Important to Consider Corporate Social Responsibility Concept in Business
Education Program
In my personal view, I believe business schools have an important role to play in the
generation of the sustainable business environment. The practice of CSR should be one of the
highly tackled business concepts today in the approach of developing sustainable businesses and
community in general. Through the increase of some economic challenges (business, companies,
and most of the enterprises) can also be considered to have an impact in the increase of these
challenges such as climate change through the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere. On the same
note, business schools can be considered as part of the blame in the social challenges through the

lack of proper CSR practice in learning. With the application of the CSR concept in business
schools, the society will stand to benefit in various different situations such as healthy and ethical
business practices, employment opportunities, and generally progressive in the entire community
(Sockell 15). Essentially, with an increase in emphasis on CSR concept in business school, social
responsibility will greatly improve and in the same line shaping the best business leaders.
Solving the Skill Gap in Hiring
In accordance with the Chronicle article, I also think there is a need for the improvement
of employee’s personal skills which can either be directly or indirectly related to the respective
school concerned. The need for improvement can be certainly established as individual failures
in meeting the required standards by the employers. The HR’s and all employers respectively
have a very important role to play in the elimination of this employee skillset gap. This can be
mainly achieved through proper guidance and a clear mention of required standards in work ethic
(Charlotte Kent 18). Similar to the article which states the schools are also to blame in the skill
gap, teachers and lecturers should begin by administering high requirements in class and
institution regulation. In line with the promotion of work ethic complained by the employers,
employees should be made liable of their unethical work practices through the creation of
policies which will enhance and minimize the skill gap in the market.
After proper reading and understanding, the use of own words can be described as
personal opinion view on the matter being discussed. Through the use of personal words in
writing and other academic activities, a student is described to have more understanding on the
topic which is even better in the application of the concept example in IT and other practical
practices (Plagiarism 43).
