centered. This could be claimed, according to the simulation, that the company respects fidelity
very much within its organization, having such a faithful base of employees. In addition, the
company also enables imagination inside of their corporation and guarantees that the business
people construct innovation capabilities efficiently and effectively.

people in the organization who handle multiple divisions (Johnson and Golombek, 2011). The
company should provide the others with appropriate results, and also encouragement within in
the organisation to construct on their allegiance. In addition, the organization also assures that

Review of Each Year’s Progress
Assessment of a competing product is the methodology of going to compare a company
with its competing companies. Such rivals should be in the same industrial sector, and that they
must be comparable in size and magnitude to the indigenous corporation. To compare the
performance of this company from its competitors, different models are used such as the five
strengths of Porter, market share, product/price analysis, and analysis of skills and capabilities.
Identifying this company's primary competition which is SKYCOMM, AlphaCom, Grek and
Document Page
Grel is crucial. Assessment of competing companies and use all the businesses is carried out
elsewhere:
Porter’s Five Forces Analysis:
This model relates to the determination of an organization's industrial desirability inside
its respective countries. As for I-Tech, therefore, its success would be analyzed on the basis of
many other influences that take precedence in the global market. Those forces are investigated
elsewhere here:
Customers bargaining power: These are the people who have bought the product offerings and
are purpose of government. During the early times of the company's operations, the individuals'
purchasing capacity was comparatively small in relation to the organization, as they were limited
performance competitors on the marketplace that offered competitive goods at cheaper prices.
Even then, this hazard was becoming greater for both the company, with new competitors in the
business and reduced power costs. However, the success of the company has become very
successful in sustaining its amount of profit over the decades that could be characterized as a
constructive strategy to a combination and blended strategy to its products.
Supplier’s bargaining power: It does apply to the organizations that supply goods and services
to the corporation to manufacture its packages. Previously, there had been restricted distributors
whenever the company started operations that could get the apparent quality of materials for
businesses. That being said, with technological advancement and access to the best training and
advisory, this power has allegedly expanded in regards to the business. Even so, in aspects of
developing a brand image, the company has performed well, together with a large supply chains
that decreases this authority for the organization.
Threat of substitute: Substitutes are also the components which could be used instead of the
established industry offers. Over the decades, there's many different smart phone replacements,
including such portals for video chatting, both these digital phones, and on and on, that also
tends to make this hazard strong with regard to the importance. Fortunately, its low-cost strategy
as well as high-quality investment growth has helped the organization effectively deal with any
of these alternatives. That allows this danger large, nevertheless, is that there is less variation in
deals from the business that has been a drawback for the corporation to bring this danger further.
Document Page
Threat of new entrants: There are particular suppliers in the market where in E-phone needs to
operate, but it is not acceptable for some other new entrant to enter. However there is a method
of regional competitors that allows new companies to flourish this industry and capture current
market share. As such, this one has been reached the conclusion that there is from low to
medium danger from new competitors in this industry (Levine and et.al., 2013).
Competitive rivalry: There are different available organizations inside the global market which
are in fierce competitors with I-tech. There are many different native businesses that are the
organization's major competitors, who build innovative performance and policies on
advancement to keep control on the industry. Eventually, E-phone's recent strength over the
years has enabled the organization to develop its going to offer efficiency based on lower market
value, which decreases this potential risk.
Market share: Market share is a framework whereby an enterprise can try comparing its
customer base with other competing companies' profit margin. Using that same model, a
business may evaluate its market presence and then assess its share, and formulate strategies. It is
quite crucial for all enterprises to believe to enhance prices in order to implement all company
processes in a structured way. E-Phone is a smart phone distribution company that provides
mobile services in various countries such as China, Japan, India, UK, etc. In the context of the
United Kingdom Company have different demands that are changing into different year. It is
identified that these amounts are changing into various countries.
Product/price analysis: Product price method relates to the device and pricing policy
assessment a corporation pursues. The marketing strategy adopted by this organization notes that
Flash would distinguish its goods from its rivals as well as provide their customers with the best
quality devices. Invention is vital in this current product strategic plan, and this company's
agency of design and technology is actively involved in introduction of improved functionalities
by revolutionizing their product lines. This company's pricing policy is cost leader that notes that
Flash could provide their buyers with devices for the rates that have been the cheapest on the
marketplace from that they can achieve business efficiencies. Flash's pricing structure believed
that the aim is to commercialize offers cheaper prices and cut costs and ultimately.

Competitors: It is important to ensure that the main competition throughout the industry
in which industry is functioned are analyzed with all large companies. By having truthful data on
all of us an organization will effectively compete on the sector. In the mobile supply as well as
production sector, specific E-Phone competition exists. Which include DHgate, Banggood etc. It
would be very necessary for the management to ensure it proposes appropriate approaches for
the company in order to retain in the business sector. It will suggest the best approaches for
surviving in the industry and achieving the company objectives (Ceschi, Dorofeeva and Sartori,
2014).

SWOT model is used that helps evaluate this company's capabilities. Detailed comparison
among participants is also carried out, together with SWOT. It is very necessary for all
management to ensure that they have developed sufficient skills and knowledge when carried out
procedures. With their support, all the problems that will happen in the future could've been
effectively dealt to. It has been established from the information of E-Phone that the organization
has specific core competencies. They all encourage it to routinely carry out company functions.

instead of maximizing profits. Because of their accessible and affordable product categories this
corporation has strong brand equity. E-phone Company has the ability to speak out during the
industry as they believe in continuous innovation which makes their business available. This
corporation does have the opportunity to innovate effectively which makes Flash important
genetic to potential customers. A further resilience or willingness of this company is its high-
quality products that also satisfy their client's requirements.
Weakness: Together with the varying combinations and knowledge and skills mentioned before,
this organization also has few weaknesses owing to that they can deal with different problems.
Function in a sector that has great competitive competition for this company serves as a
disadvantage. A further weak point of this corporation is its low business model, which allows
businesses to experience the low return problem in comparison to its competitors.
Document Page
Opportunities: E-phone's greatest and most powerful incentive is the room for change and
gradient upward. E-phone appears to work in a technology brand that is higher layer into
customer segments attributable to that E-phone is ready to broaden its industry and update its
goods.
Threat: In the situation of E-phone, vigorous competitiveness is their greatest risk, which can
lead in yet another duplication of their marketing strategy.
Skills and knowledge and strengths of E-phone are contrasted with their rivals that use
the qualifications defined from above research as this template enables a company to evaluate
their qualifications and business strategy (Summers, 2014).
Analysis of financial data: There are 3 forms of cost reports that are statement of income,
statement of balance sheet, and statement of cash flow. All of them have been evaluated in detail
while analyzing financial-related information. All of these will be analyzed to analyze E-phone's
financial information. Analytical characterization of all these is as wants to follow:

As per the performance of the business it has been analyzed that company performance it
has been analyzed that the company have effective performance. As per the income statement it
is getting that in the year 20209 companies achieve their all set targets in particular period of
time and cover all the expenses appropriately. There is E-phone finding new way to invest
amount into another sector to generate more income. According to the above progress report, it
has been analyzed that E-Phone's reputation has been steadily declining since 2023 due to
declines in operating earnings. It means that the government is not in a ready to discuss its
objectives. It also demonstrates that perhaps the manager's judgments have led to an increase
pessimistic as the business success continually decreases. All income accounts including income
statement , balance sheet and money balance indicate that the company was unable to produce
sufficient revenue.
Performance analysis: It is very essential to investigate productivity even when making
plans to analyze financial operations by verifying comprehensive information to any and almost
every commercial enterprise. It encompasses various components including such Strategy and
judgment assessment. Advertising, human resources, transportation, financial reporting, project
management etc., are major decisions. It's been calculated from E-phone's market data that the
global market of the smart phones were sold by this is quite large mostly because of inefficient
methods the organization is unable to reach it. It stated that the organization is not in a way to
deliver the marketing strategy and its productivity gets worse with the flow of time as the
earnings decrease and the damages increase for decades.
There's many e-phone players in the industry and that there are various scenarios to them.
For instance, the quality of all mobile phones selling by E-phone is quite strong and the cost is
inexpensive because of this, the competitors cannot compete with it. Most of its detailed
structural the organization to produce positive earnings by 2022, but from 2023 the organization
is unable to create better profits that have influenced its market advantage.
As per E-Phone's findings it was analyzed that the business produced numerous changes
and during years 2019 to 2029. The organization has faced a number of challenges because of
this. These that output, do not fulfill requirements etc. Each of them had detrimental impacts on
the project as most of them resulted in the business earnings and sales declining. There's many
numerous factors centered on establishing appropriate decisions by the administration of a
Document Page
company. These are commercializing, human resources, transportation, financial reporting and
developing products. There is no actual information in E-Phone advertising documents that
demonstrates that perhaps the firm may not even have constructed successful marketing
strategies. Through the company's personnel stock findings it was decided that the individual's
information technology actions were successful because the high level managers adequately
supervised all of the workers. Thus the, when the company sells its goods in foreign nations,
ensuring that it proposes successful logistics choices is quite critical for it. Therefore it was
calculated that its issues relating to this item were not successful because it was not able to
satisfy the needs in its home nation and in many other countries. The corporation's results
indicate comprehensive accounting reports which show that all managers inside the corporation
have endorsed the implementation of suitable declarations. The corporation hasn't really begun
taking any decisions concerning research and development since it hasn't made some changes to
its cell phones over the ten - year period.
Future plans and recommendations
It has been calculated from E-Phone's performance evaluation that perhaps the showings
of the corporation are very feeble, and it is quite essential for this to draw up successful methods
for the very same. The primary approaches that could be pursued for the next 5 years are as
continues to follow:
• The companies should develop market research and analyze important points which should be
targeted at attracting large customer base.
Recommendation: The management team will recruit trained members of staff and evaluate
internet resources to carry out consumer research. It will aid in identifying emerging themes
inside the industrial sector (Winston, 2016).
• I-Tech management will attempt to maximize development over the next 5 years since it can
better settle mobile demands in its homeland as well as other countries.
• Recommendation: To promote growth, it is identified that the client chooses a product
development plan because it will try to identify acceptable market-specific improvements to its
cell devices. It will assist in increasing revenues and increasing efficiency.

PART B
Executive summary
Business simulation can be said to imitation of operations management of real world
business system, companies, process, competing firms along with entire supply chain over
duration. It is used for team development, educational, operational analysis, creative thinking and
practicing strategic purposes. Similarly, professional development is an intensive and
collaborative learning approach for earning and maintaining essential credentials including
academic degrees, informal learning opportunities and attending conferences situated in
practices. The present section of the report is reflective description of an individual who works in
group of simulated organisation that is Ephone. The entity operates in smart phone industry in
multiple countries including The Netherlands, USA, Singapore, Germany, UK, Indonesia,
Canada, Brazil, Japan, India, France and so on. It not only produces Smartphone itself but also
produces products under licence, with features discovered by R&D Department and on the basis
of quality demands. The reflective report is on professional development and ways in which
learning in MBA Courses is distinct from different collaborative or team working. In this
context, various events are identified, different theories and industrial practices are reviewed and
applied. Further, some recommendations are made for improving practice and research.
Introduction
Continuum of learning addition to support activities that are majorly designed for
preparing people for work and generate ingoing experiences with the hope of enhancing
performances is defined to professional development (Jacobson, 2016). The opportunities results
in improvements in practices, knowledge, dispositions and sills of each professionals. While
proceeding with materials of MBA Courses, I learned about various concepts and leadership
related education. However, in collaborative learning with group members of Ephone, I analysed
that the learning in MBA courses and collaborative workings in group are totally different. It is
because MBA Courses only provide knowledge about topics or ways to handle things but
workings in group help in becoming experts and improving current workings ways along with
managing situations properly. Ephone is a Smartphone entity that designs, manufactures,
promotes and sells variants of smart phones in multiple nations with the aim of becoming leaders
in the industry. The present reflection including information related to events in simulation,

relevant theories and industrial practices. It further includes recommendations in context to
practice and research.
Identified events
The occurrence of something at certain location during specific time interval is said to an
event (Wainer, 2017). When an individual works with other people or researching about some
topic, various types of events takes place in the particular period. While working for Ephone, I
witnessed various events that took place. All these helped me in improving my knowledge about
simulation business which helped me a lot to know what other things while playing or
performing their tasks in group. In accordance to the circumstance, while operating performances
in the entity I also noticed that leaders also plays essential role in arranging activities for the
purpose of developing group members for achieving success. Events in simulation business can
be in form of positive or negative situation that happened or can happen in one of rounds
(Esteve-González, Cela-Ranilla and Gisbert-Cervera, 2013). Certain events identified by me in
the company are:
Situation of winning points or scores: While playing simulation game, an individual goes
through a situation for either winning or losing points in rounds (Davenport and Harris, 2017). It
is one of the events that I identified at the time of working in Ephone. In this event, the main role
played was on decisions made by Human resource and players from different countries. Leaders
of Ephone helped me a lot in winning high scores and maximum points in the smart phone
industry as their decision making showed me path for the attainment of success in competitive
rounds. At same time, the entity also won high positions and scores through being developer of
product addition to improving quality of its offerings to highest levels. The entity has effective
human resources that work in different department and shows efficiency in terms of achieving
highest returns on investment, maximum productivity and profitability through operating in
multiple nations.
Comparing the rounds in which success is achieved of not for the goals: An
organisation sets goals and accordingly measures or compares performances in rounds to analyse
whether they have achieved the desired goals of not (Horkoff and Yu, 2016). The smart phones
of Ephone were sold in the market in different rounds as per the trends and preferences of
different countries. In this type of event, I with my group members focused on comparing rounds
Document Page
in which the entity sold its mobile phones and evaluated that the desired success is achieved or
not. Further, we have analyzed that the entity has achieved success in selling maximum smart
phones and meeting customer expectations. This is seen through analyzing reports prepared by
human resources about the product and its sales. For example, the company achieved success in
meeting financial goals through increasing its profits each year. Moreover, all this is achieved
with proper decision making by organizational human resource and product development as per
consumer needs and choices.
Review of theories
Theory is said to contemplative addition to rational abstract type which is related with
processes including research or observational study (Liu and Et. Al., 2019). The nature of theory
depends on its context and results on the basis of which workings are performed. Moreover, it
also said to the structural context that explains about some topic. The theories which I learned
while initiating practices in Ephone are as reviewed:
Theory of renowned action: It was developed in 1967 by two researchers that are
Martin Fishbein as well as Icek Ajzen (Anil, Ibon and TG, 2017). The theory explains about
relationship among behaviours and attitudes in human action. Moreover, the theory is used for
predicting the ways organisations will behave on the basis of pre existing attitudes together with
behavioural intentions. It is also useful for understanding voluntary behaviours through
examining underlying motivations for performing suitable action. While working with Ephone,
the theory helped in me reviewing the ways players or group member behaves or they actually
perform their behaviours. For example, while comparing rounds to analyse achievement of goal
or not, theory of reasoned action helped me in examining underlying motivations for
implementing action and analysing their results. With this theory, I analysed that the behavioural
attitudes and subjective norms helped all team members to achieve success in meeting goals.
Game theory: The theory was the result of efforts made by John Von Neumann and
many other researchers in 1950s. It is widely recognised as essential technique in various fields
(Colman, 2016). Majorly, it is used in logical fields including accounting by rational decision
makers. While working with Ephone, I reviewed that game theory involves set of situations
which has outcome of dependent on performance of two or more decision makers. It also helped
me in analysing strategic behaviours by considering the ways participants have expectations
Document Page
from other to behave in certain manner. In the entity, the theory helped in winning scores and
points through making optimal decisions about competing actors in the field and strategic setting.
While using game theory, I assumed that players or participants in a game are rational as well as
strives for maximising their payoffs. Furthermore, it also aids in identifying identities, choices
and available strategies of different companies and the ways strategies affects the results in smart
phone market.
Review of industrial practices
Methodologies, procedures and practices adopted as predictable via industry members is
defined as industrial practice. In all industries, good practices are performed by members with
the intention of achieving growth and development as compared with other industries (Waldman
and Jensen, 2016). Smart phone industry is one growing industry in the world. In this, Ephone
company operates vide types of workings and performs multiple practices. The industry is huge
as well as growing in rapid manner. It has gained mainstream popularity through offering
customer friendly smart phones by large number of companies including I Tech, V Connect and
many more. These are major players in the industry that gives tough competition to new entrant
and other small ventures stabled in smart phone sector. They perform various types of practices
with the hope on retaining large customer base and maintaining positions. There practices also
influences other companies as decisions to launch a new smart phone or introducing some new
features in existing products shakes workings of all smart phone entities. The industrial practices
of performed by Ephone are as reviewed by me:
Delivering deadlines: Smart phone industry is related with delivering products to deadline
so to meet expectations and satisfactions of customers. A practice without customer focus fails in
attaining success or sustaining in competitive for long (Herbold, Harms and Grabowski, 2017).
While working with Ephone in the industry, I reviewed that at the time when the industry faces
downtime among client deadline, time for regrouping along with planning for upcoming projects,
modern practitioners leap among one extreme deadline to other. However, changing in customer
trends, attitudes and preferences for low price and high featured mobiles is one of the issues
faced by practitioners in smart phone industry to deliver deadlines. Moreover, there are many
companies or players in the industry that launches products in minimum time also creates issues
for the entity to practice in industry.

Working on new technologies: Smart phone industry involves ongoing regulatory
changes which practitioners require to stay on top as well as guiding clients through. The
industry practices for introducing new technologies which continuously evolve and provides
great opportunities to practice (Bonnaud and Fesquet, 2017). However, I reviewed that it is an
issue for Ephone Company as it throws wide challenges to make right investment, deploying
new technological solutions addition to getting customers on board. It influences accounting
records of smart phone entity and hampers it other related practices as while making large
investments for new technologies, the players have to make full focus on deploying resources
that results in neglecting or ignoring current requirements.
Application of theory and practice
As per the review of theories together with practices, recognition of the situations in which
suitable theory can be applied in the practice to solve becomes quite easy. Moreover, it is also
helpful in analysing where practices of smart phone companies lighten squad with the reviewed
theory which may give rise to testing inside the implements (Rao, 2019). In this context, I
applied relevant theory into suitable practice that is as follows:
Game theory into delivering deadlines: Ephone is a smart phone entity that has roots in
smart phone company is which large number of players operates. By applying the game theory, I
analysed that it helps in understanding strategies adopted by competitive players for delivering
deadlines about the product. This aids in making rational decisions by human resources through
conceiving information about strategies that opponents have implemented and implementing the
effective one in order to overcome the issue in industrial practice. Moreover, application of game
theory shows real world scenarios for certain circumstance including product releases along with
pricing competition and their predicted outcomes (Filipova and Vilão, 2018). Moreover, the
theory also explores possible results of certain situation wherein two or more players look for
specific action course which best benefits them. With this, multiple outcomes are obtained by the
entities in smart phone industry and practice them wisely for delivering deadlines.
Theory of reasoned actions into working on new technologies: Smart phone ventures
like Ephone practices efforts to work on discovering new technologies are launching them it their
smart phones. With application of the theory of reasoned actions, I emphasis my understanding
towards voluntary behaviour of people and other entities through examining underlying
Document Page
motivations in order to execute specific action. It also assists in analysing normative components
including surroundings and situations which contribute towards actual performances of
behaviour (He, Yuan and Ephremides, 2017). As per the statements in the theory, I analysed that
the intention for forming specific behaviour precedes actual behaviour for working on exploring
and launching new technologies for meeting satisfactions of market about latest techniques in
products. It also determines attitudes to behaviours of group members in Ephone and reflects that
stronger intentions leaders towards enhanced efforts for performing behaviours that increases
likelihood for overcoming the industrial practice issue.
Discussion
