The two companies which would be used for this research would be Origin and AEP.
These two companies would be identified for the purpose of the research into the social
reports of each of the companies
Origin is a well-known Australian company which is mainly a stock exchange
publicly listed company centred in the city of Sydney, Australia (Dashwood, 2016). The
company mainly focuses on providing energy to the people of the country of Australia.
Origin is said to be one of Australia’s leading energy providing companies. It has been said
that the company enjoys a good heritage in the exploration of the energy sources as well as
the production, power generation and the retailing of the energies (Dashwood, 2014). In the
present times, it has been said that the company is one of the most popular names in the
supplying energies to the homes of the people in the country (Laszlo et.al, 2017). Thus, it is
clear from the functioning of the company that they play an important in the generation of the
energy in and around Australia. It is said that in the year 2018 Origin Energy among the 17
energy businesses which lent support to the launch of the Energy Charter, which was mostly
aimed at bringing the entire power supply system together so that they would provide better
quality energy to the customers in the country (Charles et.al, 2017).
AEP Renewables is a well-known company under AEP Internationals. The company
is well-known for providing the services to the customers in the field of solar power, battery
storage, power management as well as the automation and water management plants
(Schaper, 2018). The company is known to have partnered with a broad field of international
suppliers of the products and services for the customers of the company (Berkemeyer, 2017).
The company considers its target market areas to be the remote areas where are scarcity if
energy sources for the humans. In addition, it is also the aim of the company to make sure

that they are able to introduce the latest technological developments for their current and the
future projects which they undertake.

Both Origin and AEP Renewables have made their own unique sets of issues which
they deal with every day. It is worth noting in this case that both of these companies are
concerned with the production of the energy and able to meet the neds and the demands of
the customers in the business (Schaper, 2017). Analysing the social report of Origin reveals
the company’s use of the renewable energy sources for providing power to the houses of the
customers in the country. In addition to this, the social reports also reveal the information to
the readers that Origin have installed the biggest solar power in the country and have
controlled their solar pawers with the help of batteries (Dashwood,2017). The company also
promises in its statement in the social report that it aims to turn the amount of emission to the
half of what is being emitted in the present times (Laszlo et.al, 2018).
In the similar manner, while analysing the social report of the AEP Renewables, it is
seen that the company is mainly committed to the long-term promise of transparency and is
open to implementing of various forms power sources. In addition to this the company also
takes help from the employees to make sure that the company is able to gain new customers
from the markets (Charles et.al, 2017).
By analysing the reports of both the companies, it can be said that the companies are
aimed at providing better quality energy and power to the customers. The format, tone and
the presentation of the social reports of both the companies can be said to be similar in terms
of the products and the services which they offer to their customers (Laszlo et.al,2017). One
is concerned with energy while the other is concerned with the source of the power, which
