PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Project overview
The paper mainly focuses on the project “opening of a cafe” in Cambodia. It is found
that the café was opened near to a college in Cambodia so that the students of the college can
spend their free time with their friends during break hours in the college for enjoying coffee
and snacks within a reasonable price in an excellent ambience. The main aim of the project is
to undertake feasibility analysis to rationally and objectively uncover various strengths as
well as weaknesses of the business. In this paper, the project elaborates project goals,
objectives, deliverables as well as resources that are required for completing the project.
Additionally, the paper also discusses the challenges and risks that are faced by the project
with proper mitigation strategies.
2. Problem statement
It is found that the cafés that are present in the region where the new café is started
were very much expensive and thus the college students faces difficulty in affording the
cafés. In order to resolve this issue and challenges, a new café was started in that region in
Cambodia that assists in providing proper services to the students at a very much cheaper
price that are affordable for the students.
The café is needed by the students of the colleges so that they can enjoy their free
time within the café. In order to meet the needs and demands of the students, the project was
funded with the amount of budget which is generally needed for the project.
The scope of the project mainly includes:
Opening of a café in Cambodia
Undertaking feasibility analysis for the project
Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the project

To analyze the needed budget and time for finishing the project
To determine the risks and challenges that are associated with the project
It is found that project “opening a café” in Cambodia is undertaken inn order to
provide proper ambience to the students of the college for enjoying their free time within
their budget. It is found that the time that is generally needed in order to start the café will be
around 1096 hours. In addition to this, it is found that for completing the entire the project,
the project manager hired resource manager, financial manager, operational manager as well
as market analyst.
3. Project goals and objectives
The main goal of the project is to start a new café in Cambodia and check the
feasibility of the project for rationally uncovering the strengths, weaknesses as well as
opportunities of the business.
The main objectives of the projects are listed below:
To open a new coffee shop in Cambodia
To check the feasibility of the business that is undertaken
To identify the threats that are associated with the project environment
