papers of both qualitative and quantitative research and articles related with crime reduction and
prevention proposed after year 2007 has been categorised in inclusion criteria and before 2007
were considered as exclusion criteria.

PRECIS OF 1ST ARTICLE
The first article selected was “Justice Policy Reform for High-Risk Juveniles: Using
Science to Achieve Large-Scale Crime Reduction”. Authors focused on regulations on juvenile
crime. Pragmatic necessity has fuelled interest in both crime reduction and research on
anticipation and malleability of criminal behaviour. In order to reduce the crime rates, authorities
needs to treat adolescent of age between 10-13 (mitigation principles) and age 14-18 precisely

prevented effectively and efficiently. The researcher systematically reviewed the legislation,

school. They identified that school was not able to address the expectations of youths involved in
