Provide a one sentence statement of your Professional Purpose.
My professional purpose is to be a counsellor and forensics.
Name 3 different occupations related to your Professional Purpose and explain
HOW they link to your Professional Purpose.
There are range of different occupations but these are the three-
1 Counselling and forensic personnel.
2 juvenile delinquents.
3 Job of applying scientific knowledge to sort out legal issues.
My professional purpose is to be an affective one so it would be leading me to perform these all
occupations to certain degree. My professional purpose is to use my knowledge for sake of the society so
this job would fulfil my aim McCormack and et.al. (2018)
Identify ONE of your three occupations that will be the focus of your report.
1. Counselling and forensic personnel.
1.2. Job Description and Employment Options
Provide a detailed, referenced list of the target occupation’s typical tasks (use at

These are some key task which are to be performed by such personnel-
1 To deal with prisoners and juvenile delinquents.
2 Helping pathologists and making their tasks simpler.
3 Applying scientific understanding in making up better and dealing with social issues.
Outline the industries/sectors where this occupation can be employed AND
describe the types of employment available (include references).
There are range of sectors where such personnel work such as-

Hospitals, Clinics, community health centres, also in educational field. Since these are some industries
which offers the jobs such as counselling and forensics Smout and et.al. (2022)
Types of employment available-
Marriage or kind of family counsellor Golding & Moss, (2019)
Behavioural therapists.
Child therapist.
Cognitive therapist.
Cognitive and behavioural therapist.
Addiction therapist Stone, Lengnick-Hall & Muldoon, (2018)
Other form of forensics.
Legal field forensic expert.

a. Level of qualification and experience (where appropriate, include type/level of

There is need to have at least bachelor’s degree keeping in mind that there must be good understanding of
psychology Zahoor and et.al. (2020)
Having field experience is also needed due to over sensitivity of this realm.
Having master’s degree would help a lot in penetrating job market McDougall and et.al. (2020)
Earning doctorate in the special field would help in making up it Galloway, (2018)
b. Areas of knowledge (e.g. technical, theoretical)
There is need to be highly affluent in the subject along with practical market knowledge. So these are the
areas of knowledge which are essential to possess this position.
theoretical knowledge- There is need to have better subject knowledge. For this sake, a student is needed
to have good command over the subjective knowledge and also having some additional ability so can deal
with the situations.
Technical knowledge- Over the time, the labour market is growing and changing with faster rate so a
candidate is needed to have better field experience. At the same time having understanding of new tools,
application, apps are also needed so can perform its tasks with greater influence Talley and et.al. (2020)
c. Capabilities (i.e. ‘ability to’ requirements)

For fulfilment of all the associated job requirements a person is needed to have mammoth skills yet these
are some key capabilities which cannot be forgotten-
Better understanding of the subject.
Capability to decode deeper concepts and theories.
Good capability to apply them Thalmayer and et.al. (2021)
How the best sets of services can be extended to certain subject is needed.
Ability to enforce learning and making betterment.

Technical skills such as ability of using
Skills to understand the issues a person is suffering.
Additional skills such as great communication skills, behavioural skills, technical skills are needed

The main aim is to serve the people of the nation. So occupational country would be Australia.
Detail ONE projected trend (e.g. growth/decline, new ways of working) for the target
occupation in your target geographic location (at least 1 reference).
These trends seem to be better but not with drastic rate as it is supposed to be. The data is as suggesting
trends-
Employed- 40000
Future growth- 13.3%
Weekly earnings- 2066 USD.
Full time share- 52%
By the year 2026 it is supposed to be around 35100.
At present- 31000 Browning and et.al. (2018)
(Psychologists and psychotherapists.)
There is need to be highly innovative, technology prone and vociferous in term of knowledge gaining are
needed.
Provide a possible explanation for the identified trend (at least 1 reference).
Since the phonological issues are getting better attention of the society so these jobs are getting up and
possibilities are also there for new participants. That’s the main reason for such an expected boom.
