INTRODUCTION
Individual report is an assessment done by a person who has to research and verify the
information. It provides an brief area of detail that should be relevant to the topic which should
be arranged in an organised format. This report is from a research done on The Carbon Emission
Reduction Dilemma – COP26 Glasgow. Carbon Emission is known as the process of extracting
the carbon gas into the environment. This increment of carbon in the air leads to the global
warming and greenhouse gas effect. The nations signed the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC), that was adopted in 1992 (Hassan, Alhenawi, and
Hasan, 2022). This report discusses about COP26, COP26 agreement, its importance, how the
countries are going to achieve the target and comply with the projected goals of Paris agreement
and lastly the way in which the organisations in the western world truly become carbon neutral
and achieve zero emissions by 2030.
MAIN BODY
COP26 and the agreement
It stands for Conference of Parties, it is a summit about global climate use to held in
Glasgow. The parties hereby are almost 200 countries contributing to the agreement of becoming
carbon neutral and achieve zero emissions. It brings together 120 world leaders, 22,247 party
delegates, 14.124 observes, 40,000 registered participants and 3.886 media representatives.
However the agreement contained of these following global agenda -
Emissions – The countries agreed upon the next year's targets of CO2 emission cutting
which will degrade their greenhouse gas effect and the climate change.
Coal – The use of overall coal should also be reduced as coal leads to 40% of the carbon
emission in comparative to the other sources (Scott Cato, 2022).
Developing countries – The countries pledged for providing money to the poor countries
so that they can get clean energy and unit with others in climate change.
Fossil fuel subsidies – The nations are trying to cut phase for coal, oil and gas as they are
they are the main factors driving in greenhouse effect.

Its importance and how EU will achieve the target and comply with projected goals of Paris
agreement
COP26 was necessary because six years before in Paris Agreement the countries had
taken a pledge to cut down the emissions and decrease the global warming from the environment
for about 2C, hence the tried to aim for 1.5C. Then they aimed for net zero cutting emissions.
The Nationally Determined Contributions(NDC) is to reduce the global warming in the
way to achieve the aim of Paris agreement. The long term strategies which leads to low
greenhouse gas emissions, but they are not compulsory. The agreement gives financial, capacity
building, technical support. The developed countries tend to help the developing and less capable
countries to get the clean energy transform. Their voluntary contributions and large scale
investments for adaption are for decreased effects of climate change and the adverse impacts.
The technology so far needs to reduce Green House Gas(GHG) emissions. The climate finance
should be risen up to 50% in grants. The climate change action has been incurred by everyone in
the community. The solutions adopted by them are in favour to the people and nature for
sustainable climate. The commission has imposed on a responsibility to EU for depleting the
greenhouse gas effect until the upcoming 10 years (Leone, 2022). This had an impact on all
sectors of the society and the nation's economy and framed policy actions. EU has been more
ambitious with the cost effective measures as well as on tracking its record of change in climate
and the growth of economy. The nations are now having opportunities and challenges in hybrid
and grey infrastructure. As this is an important step to be provided by the organisations. The
nations are also procuring flood resilience globally and other related hazards which are harming
numerous people in these years also due to the increase in carbon emissions.
The manner in which organisations in the western world truly become carbon neutral and
achieve zero emissions by 2030
The nations are providing their reported contributions transparently. They are adapting
procedures, supporting and taking the financial needs by each other according to the planned
climate goals, change mitigation and other international measures (Petrović, 2022). But the
climate change actions need to be adopted in a fast manner because the growing level is low in
carbon solutions and the substitute markets. The developed nations are timely achieving because
they get opportunities so this results in being an early movers. Most of the territories are adapting
zero carbon solutions. So this leads to an increased competition in economic countries which are

having 25% carbon emissions. There is little bit worry for the vulnerable nations who can not
afford the technology and finance. As far as concerned in some countries the businesses are also
getting aware and conscious for the low carbon solutions and are adapting clean energy resources
in their work in trades. The businesses are making electric vehicles cheaper to be affordable by
the middle class family and also they don't need to spend on fuels. The global temperature is
being limited to 1.5C until 2030, it isn't warmer then 1C since the beginning of industrial
revolution (Findlay, 2022).
CONCLUSION
COP 26 was the first opportunity to seek for the track to respond the multiple challenges
presented by the climate emergency and where more efforts are required. This report concludes
to the topics which were covered thereby are an introduction to COP26 in Glasgow and the Paris
agreement which was pledged by almost 200 countries, the significance and they way in which
countries are going to achieve the target and comply with the projected goals of Paris agreement.
Then the report covers about the measurements taken by the nations in which the organisations
in western world truly become carbon neutral and achieve zero emissions by 2030. Most nations
are successfully adopting 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and 2015 Paris Agreemnet
on climate change.
