Cardiac Hypertrophy on Chick Embryo Cardiac Myocytes

This study analyses induction of cardiac hypertrophy on cardiac myocytes of chick embryos by application of phenylephrine and isoprenaline. The background of the study analyses several relevant concepts in the area of cardiac hypertrophy by conducting experimentation on a 7-day-old chick embryo. The study aims to understand the effect of serum-free media on inducing hypertrophy, analyze the effect of phenylephrine and isoprenaline on cardiac myocytes, and investigate the effects of propranolol on hypertrophied cells. The study uses different experiments to analyze the effects of these agents on cardiac myocytes.
